@RockyMountainBriar, it is on the Smokingpipes website, under their "desktop background" images. Can't remember who made it. I'll try to look it up. The url is here
Thanks @mfresa. It looks like it is a Scott Klein. I knew there was another carver that had some pipes of a similar style, I just could not remember his name.
The ugliness appears to be the point; it makes the pipes stand out / outstanding. That's why I post them. There are a lot of conventional appearing handsome pipes. There are also many artfully crafted ones that are too elaborate/extreme to smoke. But the butt ugly ones are few and far between!
As to the condition of the Wally Frank, caveat emptor always applies to eBay used/estate pipes. I've bought most of my pipes on eBay, and because I've been careful, I've not been burned..... so far.
@KA9FFJ Smoking a real deer foot would be much worse. I have seen some of those leather clad pipes with white/brown mottled calfskin (hair on) covering them. Definitely not my idea of “high class”, or any class. To each his own.
@motie2 I believe that deer foot pipe is actually one used for smoking cheroots or other small cigars or even cigarette. They were popular back before the 1930s from what I've been told.

The shank is easy to miss

Hey, do you know if that pipe w/coffee mug is a Yeti? It looks like his style, just curious.
Sorry. Dunno.......

The Wally Frank?... Not bad, not bad at all...👌
You post photos of too many ugly pipes.
Is it me or does that Wally Frank look smoked? How is that mint?
