@motie2 I'm not sure how I feel about a company that appears to come off as pipe makers, but doesn't actually make any of the pipes. I think i would rather buy right from the makers. It reminds me of all the jewelry stores that claim to be jewelers, yet have no actual jeweler on site and send me all the work to do. I do like that ranger pipe they have listed though, and hopefully they keep people puffing away.
Those two carved pipes are well executed, but they creep me out. I have a Tsuge like the first one, it’s a small-ish pipe, but I love it. Heck I love all my Tsuge pipes.
I'm posting this photo here because this is a working metal pipe. A guest at our last pipe club meeting brought his walking cane with him. The stem pulls off just like the stem on a briar pipe. It has a lined bowl, so it is smokeable. Better yet, you unscrew the pipe and it has an 10 inch blade.
Have a golfing buddy I turned on to pipe smoking. I've mentioned him before. Up until about 4 years ago, he was a chronic cigarette smoker and coughed almost continually. Now, since giving up cigarettes, he doesn't cough anymore. Anyway, he brought me the head of an old persimmons Cobra Baffler and asked me if I could turn it into a nonuseable novelty pipe for his display case. So here it is: By the way, mortise and airway is drilled and functional, but I told him NOT to smoke it since persimmons can be toxic. He assured me it was going to be used as a novelty display...
