I probably sound like the preverbial "one trick pony", but I just finished a bowl of "Scottys' Butternut Burley" in my Bones "Fat Author". I might add the baccy and the pipe are a fantastic combination.
First pipe in over a week as I’ve been busy in the lead up to Christmas. Smoking the last of my Peterson 2015 Winter blend and drinking a mug of hot buttered rum made with Harvey’s Hot Buttered Rum mix I ordered from Washington state.
Hey Brother, do you know what the word Marine stands for: My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment. I am sure you have heard that before. We also have Sgt. Danner aboard here, I am not sure of other Navy/ Marine Vets. I used to take out mines for you guys. That was when I was young, invincible, and a bit stupid to even get into that line of work. Navy EODU all the way.

Happy Cob Tuesday friends! Had a bit of a migraine, but I didn’t want to let a day go by without working on a Christmas story I’m writing. Bayou Morning in my Charles Towne Cob.
Regardless of what folks say, if one is looking for a "new" Balkan Sobranie (as I was) there are really four choices to consider. None of them are perfect, but all are wonderful smokes: White Knight, Balkan Sasieni, Magnum Opus, and BlackHouse.
I'm sitting with a cup of coffee and a Dr Grabow billiard loaded with Captain Black. The insane Christmas rush of too many trucks and half the staff in quarantine is just about over. Here's to putting your feet up and enjoying the holiday. May all your pipes be sweet and fragrant. Merry Christmas.
