Well it wasn't today but @Londy3 and I (as the yet unnamed pipe club) had a few Tom collins, Old Fashioned, and assorted unnamed custom Gin and Rum cocktails at our chosen watering hole with a couple bowls of @AceFour Red Queen, C&D Bijou, MacBarren HH Bold Kentucky, JM Boswell's No Bite Delite. I can't say if they paired well but all tasted mighty fine for sure.
Normally I just drink my spirits straight with no ice but I saw a recipe of The Dunham Cocktail and thought it might be interesting. 1 Jigger Orange Juice 1 jigger whiskey over iced and then topped off with Ginger Ale (NOT ginger beer). Stir slowly to mix
The actual recipe from 1934 calls for a long strip of orange peel but I left that off.

Every night after supper, I'll have about three fingers(+/-) and very rarely drink any other type of adult beverage. I guess that once I find something I like I stick with it. I have a kitchen cabinet that is stuffed full of whiskeys that my son bought and didn't like, so he stores them at my house.
