My buddy sent me a pic of this yesterday. I’m not sure if he actually acquired any yet. After being to the Kentucky Derby seven times (for work), I kinda have a taste for mint julep’s. I have always liked mint (peppermint=not the same=not as good=my inflated opinion🙂). And what the heck is wintergreen? Dang, now I want a frosty mint julep served in a sterling silver julep cup. Thinking of the smell of fresh muddled mint sprigs is making my mouth water.
@mustangii; I have a bottle of "Proper Twelve" setting on the bar next to three bottles of "Teeling". No bad Irish. Should be enough to set a man right.
Poured a shot of 1800 Reposado to pair with the inaugural bowl in my Savinelli Anni 120. I have some soda back. A friend, now deceased got the Voodoo Harley Shooter for me when he was in New Orleans several years ago. I had a cool “normal” shotglass that my little sister picked up from the same shop just a year or so before that. I reached into my cupboard and moved another glass, and the shotglass fell and broke🥹😫😭🤬. I don’t think a I ever had a drink from it🙁. I miss that shotglass. I like the short heavy shot glasses, like my Kentucky Derby one, way better than these “tippy” shooters.
@RockyMountainBriar yes sir. It's a Middle Eastern liquor. When you add water turns white like milk. My boss introduced me to it. Tastes like black licorice
@Zouave So it’s somewhat like Greek Ouzo. It’s called “Tiger’s Milk” when mixed with water🙂. Absinthe does the same thing, only milky green, it’s called “letting out the green fairy”. Both Ouzo and Absinthe are black licorice flavored as well.

That does sound good.

Put a good dent in that makers
115 proof prohibition style bourbon on the gold. In the Savinelli bowl we have Orlick dark fired Kentucky. Happy Friday boys.
Knob Creek rye
Dang that looks like a tasty beverage, a Manhattan perchance?
Yep, now I want one🙂
Nope, this is an old fashioned. So good.
Awesome! 🥃
😋Gin Martini🍸
Interesting stuff. A grape brandy with some black licorice flavor, if I’m reading the label correctly?
