Up in the wilds of Wisconsin again visiting close friends on lake Emily. So our host was prepared to make / try some new cocktails. The one I am having first is Crown Royal apple, cranberry juice and ginger ale in a glass with one very large ice cube , its quite good.
@Londy3 IN MY OPINION it has a nice dark coffee flavor but is not as syrupy as Kahlua. I find it more closely resembles Tia Maria in flavor. Both Kahlua and Tia Maria are coffee liqueurs. Gator Bite is coffee liqueur and rum. This makes its less syrupy than the others. Both Kahlua and Tia Maria are 20% ABV. Gator Bite is 26% ABV so it's a little stronger.
The Tennessee Hills Distillery makes a coffee infused rum in Jonesborough, TN that I buy everytime I visit our oldest son. I love it but Gator Bite is a step above it in my opinion and at around $20 per bottle is a better buy.
Made Veggie fried rice and pork eggrolls with Jasmine orange tea for dinner...
...now time to relax after a great dinner. Saamookin some 2 brothes Bed and Breakfast in my blue bent Molina and some Citridellic IPA on my porch. Wonderful evening Indeed.
it was balmy tonight at 60 degrees so I had a fire and was joined by the president of the CPCC, we started with about four fingers of Paddy's Irish whiskey.
When that was gone we hit a bottle of Hine Antique cognac accompanied by some Voodoo ranger IPA all wile smoking some SPC Rainier Levant.
Tonight it's Folgers Nor Golden Dusk instant coffee along with 221B Baker Street in my Peterson. I just poured a shot of Gentleman Jack to go with the coffee.
I know what you mean Londy3 when you find a good bourbon it's magic. Gentleman Jack is labeled as Tennessee whiskey since they mellow it through maple charcoal and age it in toasted maple barrels. Bourbon by law has to be at least 51% corn and aged at least 6 years in new toasted white oak barrels. That being said there is the toasty caramel apple flavors of bourbon in it and it is as smooth as silk. A little water opens up the taste and stretches out the savor time.
@Ron191 oh I know what qualifies to make bourbon. I prefer bourbon over whiskey any day. Don't forget, I'm the bourbon snob of this group. Catch my Bourbon 101 podcast when it comes out. 😆

I tried that in 2017. At 73, it’s not gonna work for me.
Gatorbite....sounds good👌🏻

I'm indulging in the little Bullet Frontier Rye this evening along with some Jackknife plug of I can keep it lit.
The rye is extremely flavorful with apple, caramel and toasty oak notes. It complements the flavor of the jackknife plug
Having some Peter Stokkebye Luxury English blend in my MM cob while coming back from the beer den at my local grocery store!
Samookin....
Tonight it's Johnny Walker Red and Black Shag from McClelland in a smallish Dr Grabow.
I have a couple of similarly small bowled pipes; two are great smokers... one is..... meh. Not bad, but not one I pick up often.....

Kentucky’s bourbon industry is covering its neighbors in black fungus.
