@Corey562, Thanks, I am a big fan of Rad's pipes, and I'm working on putting together a 7 day set. He really came a long way, in a short period of time with his engineering and balance.
Smoked a bowl of Sutliff Christmas Spice in my Big Ben Fantasia Pipe that was repaired by Ric at Briarville earlier this year. Sent it to Ric just as the hurricane hit Florida. Quite an adventure that pipe went on. Thought for sure it was going to be lost in the chaos.
Sadly, I finished off the last of my tin of Seattle Pipe Club's Pike Place. It was a very tasty Balkan Blend. Unfortunately they had to stop making it because of the name.
Smoked some Sir Walter Raleigh non-aromatic in my Peterson Kinsale. Have been drying out some that I removed from the tin. SWR smokes really nice when it's on the dry side and has a pleasant room note.
Well I tried something different. Don't laugh, but I just did a bowl of Virginia Gold Cherry Cavendish while sipping on a cherry Dr. Pepper! I actually enjoyed how they seemed to compliment each other. Like I said, try not to laugh...
@KA9FFJ Captain Black Grape seems to be the only fruit flavored blend that doesn't have the aftertaste associated with sugar free products. There is no denying it has a sweet taste of both NEHI grape soda or Jolly Rancher candy - but at least the flavor is quite pleasurable. Not something for the fan of English blends - but for the aromatic smoker looking for something a little different that the usual vanilla, chocolate or maple flavored tobacco blends, this fits the bill. Pouch note, room note, and flavor are unquestionably grape. And not the grape taste associated with dry wine - but sweet soda.
I recently acquired Out of Office Cherry. I have waited for years for an Out of Work (I'm retired), but had to settle for the former. Not bad, especially knowing P&C had it on sale for less than 4 bucks a tin plus free shipping...
Just finished off a bowl of Out of Office Cherry in my Shayne free hand while in the garage with space heater, listening to music and reading... 34° outside, inside garage = 52°
