LJ Peretti's Pride of Loch Lomond in a Savinelli Bing's Favorite. It's an English Blend they recommended when I asked for something stronger than Rattray's Red Rapparee.
Smoked a bowl of Cult Conspiracy in my Big Ben Wade freehand. I love that thing. Feels great in the hand. High volume of smoke. Had to smoke in the garage due to Buffalo weather. Chilly season is startin! Low 20's today. I hate when I can't smoke outside and enjoy the fresh air and nature.
That being said while I was enjoying my pipe I planted some white oak acorns I germinated this fall in my fridge. Looking forward to planting in the spring. Nice little project while enjoying my smoke.
Balkan Sobraine in a crimson sandblast Briar Works Dublin. I was greatly fortunate to win said tobacco in a Country Squire on-line promotion (I bought a pipe from them on Black Friday, for my assistant priest, and was entered into a drawing.) I have to admit that as I first started puffing I though "this ain't so different from other oriental blends." Now, about 1/2 way through the bowl, I'm picking up a nice complexity of flavor and an amount of spice that is nice and not overwhelming. I can now see why people rave about it. It is complex and deep, yet not something that knocks you out and takes two days to get the aftertaste out of your mouth.
Are you ready for this: Prince Albert in a MM Corn Cob. So nice once in awhile to go back home. Makes me think our Fathers and Grandfathers didn't have it so bad.
