@PappyJoe You lucky devil, you must be living right🙂 I thought about buying some, but I didn’t want to buy a freakin 8oz. or 16 oz. brick…whatever was the smallest package (I’m getting old, I don’t remember).
92° here with a real feel of 104°, but on my screened-in porch with the ceiling fan on high and a cold drink, it's tolerable. Sunset Rum in a restemmed Calabrest...
Baked a birthday cake and made dinner for one of our daughters. Now sitting out watching LSU vs Florida. Smoking some 7 Sea Black in one of my Rinaldo’s.
Cracked open a 2 year old tin of HU Dockworker, the description on Tobacco Reviews is:
A strong, chocolaty and spicy Malawi Burley is at the center of the
Dockworker Flake. It is complemented by spicy Orientals and Virginia
from Zambia, India and the Philippines.
The result is a sweet-spicy Flake with a beautiful Burley/Oriental touch.
This unusual blend
impresses with a very complex and well balanced flavor. A medium strong
flake for friends of fragrant tobaccos . No added flavor!
I will say the chocolate note from the Malawi is present but its only an essence and seems to be natural to the tobacco, there is some spice but I wouldn't really call this blend spicy, at least not to my palate.
Just loaded my straight Rinaldo with C&D Warped-Midsommar. This is a tobacco I haven't tried yet so I will have to let you know later. From the description, it's a burley, oriental/Turkish, virginia blend. Tobacco reviews doesn't list any flavoring but the description in one of the review talks about rum casing, and a wide range of other notes: cocoa, bready, spicy, citrus, etc.
Tried my hand at pseudo-blending tonight. Having a roughly 50/50 blend of night cap and Boswells best. It toned down the funk night cap has and added just a touch of chocolate to the mix. Burning real cool. May need some fine tuning but I’m not mad about it. In a country gentleman.
I caught up with pipe cleaning, there were a dozen in the queue! Now sitting outside with GLP Westminster in an Apple Diplomat and a glass of Moscato wine.
Smoking some of the Captain Black “Platinum”. I’m glad I only bought one pouch…this stuff sucks. I like most of the other CB blends, this “Platinum” is nasty.
Actually, it's still available online. I agree, it is a little pricey. In fact, since I bought my tin, the shipping price has gone up. This isn't something I would buy for an everyday smoke for that very reason.
@jim102864 I’m guessing you are talking about the Escudo? Yes, there were more in stock, I just couldn’t bring myself to let go of another $17 for 1 3/4 ounces of tobak. I have about 1/2 a tin in a jar still, it’s probably close to 10 years old.

Just remember, no good deed goes unpunished. I'm going to send you a couple of ounces when I can this week.

@Whoispra
We stream TV to a tab when we want to watch something outside.
That chicken looks awesome, fajitas, or?
Fajitas.

Tnx for the tip...
Captain Black “Platinum” is the only one of their blends I haven't tried. Now I won't.

Thank you, sir! It's my favorite for sure.
Sounds fantastic. I may have to splurge (again) and buy some for myself.
LOL funny!
Thanks man... Still laughing. Share the link and see how far this goes. 😂🤣
