I just received a tin of W.O. Larsen “Indigo” that a fellow pipe brother grabbed for me. I was mainly interested in the tin, it has cool Black Panther tin art. I packed this Pete and gave it a few puffs, this stuff is tasty, very fruity (I’m not sure of the fruit?), and not “chemically” or crazy artificial. The room note is excellent. I almost wanted to eat it right out of the bag. I should have bought another tin, but how did I know it was going to be this good.😋
~10 year old Escudo compared to my fresh tin of Escudo…It do darken with age. Stuffed my little Dunhill RubyBark with the old stuff and I am smoking away. I put the fresh coins in the bottom of my jar, and topped it with the “old” stuff. Maybe it will “jumpstart” the aging of the fresh coins?
I've spent the afternoon snacking on fresh roasted cashews and macadamia nuts, and, straight from the oven Brazilian Cheese Bread. I'm on my second cob of GLP Kensington and I've made a good dent in my Woodchuck hard ciders.
@PappyJoe What was the St. Espresso like? I have some of the “Warped” series tobaccos in my wish list, but I’m not sure that was one of them. Is/was that blend an L.E.?
I started the day with GLP Westminster in an Apple Diplomat. After that I made some fresh coffee, roasted coffee and brushed out the dog. Now it's time for GLP Ashbury in a Pride and hopefully it clears enough to get some outdoor projects done!
@RockyMountainBriar I like it. The first bowl I had gave me the impression of mocha coffee I occasional make during the winter months (making hot cocoa with coffee instead of milk or hot water). Since then I get more of a coffee with cream flavor.
Smoking some C&D “Espresso” in a Pete “Sports” 7. It was an unsmoked pipe when I bought it, cheap. The tenon was broken off and missing. This is one of the first pipes, if not the first, I replaced a tenon on. It was before I had a lathe.
Just returned from a 3 day golf trip with the guys (20 of us). We all had a great time, and I was able to get in 4 bowls of Frankenblend in 2 of my 9mm filtered pipes. Caught up my yard work and relaxing now with some Sutliff honey and chocolate in a refinished Tinderbox pipe. This pipe was a very dull flat brown when I found it. After sanding it down, I couldn't believe the nice grain that was revealed, so I 2-tone stained it... As I said, had a great time, but it's always good to be back home...
Granddaughters soccer game this morning, then on to a local orchard to pick 16 lbs of some fresh off the trees apples. Now relaxing with some RLP-6 in a reworked and restemmed Tom Spano...
Shredded Brussel Sprouts, Shredded Onion Breadcrumbs An egg Salt and Pepper
My wife dropped a scoop into olive oil heated in a cast iron pan and flattened it into a pancake about twice that thickness and flipped them to brown both sides. If you're interested I'll get the exact recipe from her!
Trying to rotate through my pipes. I think this Rattrays Old Gowrie was the first "new" pipe I bought several years back. I still think it may be my favorite. Loading up some L.J. Peretti 150th. Flake.

Decided to drag out one of my meers.
Noname Rhodesian with some BCA on my screened-in porch...
We have the same knife 😎
I never had such a boss. You are blessed.
I had mine first😉…..and mine is not quite the same after my “smoothing mod”🤓
It was good.

Thank you, and yes, I would be most grateful for the recipe. Not sure what you meant by, “….. flattened it into a pancake about twice that thickness.”
