@Londy3 I’m not really a “beer” guy, but that looks like it might be tasty. I’m not sure about the nobel hops? It might be one of the hop varieties I’m not too fond of….well less fond of than normal.
Taking a little break and doing some Lane BCA in a restemmed Tom Spanu straight grained bamboo. This was a "shoe box" pipe. It had no stem, and was starting to experience the beginning of a sidewall burn out. I fitted a new stem, and then patched the area with a new (to me) pipe mud. YouTube = CaneRodPiper has a video explaining the entire process. I highly recommend viewing the video. It's an excellent mud for sidewall patching...
Had some Crumble Kake Red in a Sav straight apple earlier, now transitioning to some Carolina Red Flake (without that Perique crap), taking breaks from some research I've been working on. Hopefully I can get this damn paper submitted for review at a journal today or tomorrow and relax a little.
Just sent it off! That's 2 papers submitted in the last month (although I've been working on one of them for a couple of years). I've already gotten word that the first one I submitted has been approved for publication pending a few minor revisions; this one today went to a journal in the UK--UK editorial boards are notoriously picky, but this is a good journal in my field, so we'll see how it goes. It's a simple paper on how "small states" (basically countries with fewer than 1.5 million people) fared the Great Recession relative to larger countries (the results show they recovered more quickly...go figure). Now, off to smoking and putting down bug granules around my house!
It's an intriguing Virginia based blend with "Kentucky", Perique and Black Cavendish with with they call a fruit flavoring. They don't tell you exactly what it is, but say its reminiscent of rose hips, raspberry and hibiscus.
I smoked the first bowl in a clay pipe and a second bowl in a corn cob. I can detect the fruit and the floral but not enough to identify it yet. That will come later after I smoke more of it.
Spent the last 2 days at the hospital. Sister took a turn for the worse, and after tests, found nodules on her liver, lungs and pancreas. Got home 10 last night and other relatives are standing watch and keeping me informed. Be going back tonight through tomorrow. After catchup stuff completed, I'm spending some time away from reality by starting The Hobbit (again), while doing some Dan's Devil's Holiday in reworked "shoe box" pipe. I have appropriately named it my Hobbit pipe...
A thought just occurred to me. I am presently doing smaller bowl pipes because I can't afford the time for a 2 to 3 hour smoke. However, for those of you who can, it has been quite a while since I have seen anyone post a "stacking" bowl combo. Have I just missed them, or has that inquisitive combo just not been happening lately?...🤔
@KA9FFJ Interesting..last night I mixed some of my “Johnny’s Melange” with a pinch of C&D “Dark Fired Kentucky” in my birth-year Dunhill.
For today’s first pipe, just before getting on here, I stack loaded the same Dunhill with 1/3 C&D “Espresso”, 1/3 Lane “BCA”, 1/6 C&D “Dark Fired Kentucy”, and topped it with 1/6 more C&D “Espresso”. Lit and Smoke’n.

That beer was very tasty. Not hoppy at all. In fact, my lovey wife enjoyed one with me on that day.
You are amazing. Or have I said that before?
...a little vodka, lime and soda
Hey, if I'm not mistaken, that's just like the pipe I bought from MM at the St. Louis pipe show. The Charles Towne.
I love mine...
You are correct! I love this one too. Great shape, nice stem and wonderful smoker.
Git-er-done, Brother! Then fire up a savinelli and enjoy life!
Upside-down, that could be a “Duck’s Head” pipe?
Good name 🦆

Sambuca! 🍸
Cheers brother!

I'll keep you posted.
It looks like an old "Jet" pipe popular way back when...
