@opipeman Thank you, sir! That particular Savinelli is one of the first I purchased back in the day, and it is on my top five list of favorite smokers. Savs are reasonably priced and their quality is well known.
Smoking some C&D 2020 Carolina Red Flake….with…that Perique Crap😬 I am smoking it in a Peterson Sandblast Amber Spigot 87 though🙂. I didn’t want to offend @vtgrad2003😉
Peach Melba from the Tinderbox in Mobile, Al. In my Churchwarden from @Corey562. I was the duty driver to take my wife and two of my sisters shopping in the Mobile area. Stopping at the Tinderbox was my reward.
@PappyJoe I too have some TB Peach Melba. I love the room note and, as long as I take my time with it, I love the taste. The only thing I don't care for is, IMHO, it tends to slightly ghost the pipe which seems to take 2 or 3 bowls of other blends before the affects are mostly gone. Do you get a similar experience? By the way, GREAT looking pipe!
Took advantage of a beautiful day here and caught up my yard work, plus pulled 5 shrubs, then planted 5 globe-shaped boxwoods in their place. It was more therapeutic to be able to spend most of the day outside after being cooped up in a hospital for almost 2 weeks... Then I sat myself down, loaded up a reworked Tom Spano pipe with some 1-Q, and fired it up. I knew I missed my pipes during this trying time with my sister, but I didn't realize how much until now...
Not smoking, just headed to work🙁. You know, it’s been ~50F at night a few nights and above freezing at nights, at least. Daytime upper 50’s-60’s, I think we made it into the low 70’s. Today…wth? Them’s big’ole snowflakes, and lots of’em too. It’s only been snowing a couple of hours…maybe. We may be looking at 8”+ of the heavy wet stuff before it’s done. That’s my house on the left, white with blue trim. I park my pickup in my big garage/shop that is accessed from the alley so I have to back-track a couple of houses to get to the street. I thought March came in like a lion and went out like a lamb? Well apparently, the lion came back and ate the lamb🤔
Right now I'm giving an exam, wishing I was smoking something--can someone please fire one up for me? Don't smoke any damn Perique or Latakia though! Let me know how it was.
Just got back after spending all day at my sister's house. What a challenge! Anyway, decided to break in this "shoe box" Paronelli I repaired and fitted a stem with some Dan's Devil's Holiday. So far, I think I'm going to like this pipe. I have always been drawn to modest Danish-shaped pipes, and this one is no exception...

I haven’t smoked any in a long time so I’ll have to wait and see on the ghosting.
👍🏻
Its a good man you are and your reward was well deserved.
That is a superb looking pipe!

A little Balkan blend in my Savinelli with a bourbon old fashioned.
seven alley😂😂😂
I think we both have had enough snow. We seem to be going right into the Tornado season here abouts.
I like the NC sunshine and warmer weather. Can't do that brutal winter crap anymore.
