Forgot to post this yesterday. Got in 18 while I did some Lane RLP-6 on the front, and Frankenblend on the back, both in my modified Emerald MM cob. Shot a 76, but here's the best part; I have found that as long as I have a pipe on the course, my score doesn't seem to mean that much to me. Some, or most of you know what I'm talking about...
Their holiday blends are generally aromatics which I tend to avoid. It is an interesting cake of some sort, the website says the recipe doesn't change.
Peretti Thanksgiving Day is available on their website, $25 for 4 ounces. They don't mention that orders of $100 or more ship free, or at least to me in New Hampshire.
For the first pipe of the day I loaded the end of a jar of G. L. Pease Charring Cross into an MM Diplomat. On the menu for the rest of day is BriarWorks Pete's Beard, Peretti Midnight and Boston's Best Cavendish, and, either Davidoff Flake Medallions or Peterson Deluxe Navy Rolls.
I was price checking on their site last night. My two favorites from them are Tashkent and Boston's Best Cavendish. Tashkent is an Oriental Latakia blend that is not a Lat bomb. Boston's Best Cavendish is a Virginia with honey, the honey is subtle but remains present to the bottom of the bowl. I let both of them get fairly dry before packing a bowl.
Great weather here today and tomorrow. Heading out to the back porch to do some 50/50 Tinderbox Captain Spice/VG Black Cavendish in an Abb Brown ( @Corey562 ) artisan pipe...
A few weeks ago I bought the Blu-Ray box set "50 Years Of Bond" at a used video shop for $35.00. The set contains all the Bond films up to "Skyfall". Unfortunately "Spectre" wasn't included in the set at the time of the release. But there is a slot in the hard cover booklet which contains a disc of special features. I'll simply pick up the Blu-Ray of "Spectre" and swap out the bonus dis with "Spectre". I mention this because for the past few evenings I've been revisiting the Bond flicks while reacquainting myself with an old favorite tobacco blend - Russ' "Warm Up". I've been neglecting the blend for quite some time, opting for tinned tobacco. Now I can't see to get enough of it. Thankfully my cellar is well stocked with Mason Jars of the stuff so I can binge smoke to my heart's content.
@ghostsofpompeii; The Bond series is great entertainment. I haven't seen them all, but Shawn Connery is my favorite James Bond. You found a great buy, enjoy!
I started the day with an MM Diplomat filled with G. L. Pease Charring Cross. Up next BriarWorks Pete's Beard to be followed by Peterson Deluxe Navy Rolls.

Yes, with a pipe in hand everything seems to slow down and become more philosophical.
But, I know what you mean.

I've tried to secure the Peretti Thanksgiving blend ( https://www.tobaccoreviews.com/blend/2760/peretti-thanksgiving-day ) for a couple of years..... always unsuccessfully, like trying to buy Sleepy Hollow from Straus Tobacconist in Cincinnati. ( https://www.tobaccoreviews.com/blend/9216/straus-tobacco-sleepy-hollow )
Thank you for alerting me. That must have restocked….
