Been a while ... so I pulled out my East India Trading Company Officer's Club. Smoked it in my Big Ben Fantasia Pipe. The weather has finally gotten decent around here - and it's perfect pipe smoking weather again.
Giving TCS 50th anniversary another try this morning. I laid off the pipe for a week. Had some sinus stuff going on and nothing tasted right. Pleased by it this time around.
@KA9FFJ - Yep, I just bought a 1.5 lb package of PS Luxury Bullseye Flake that I will jar up and age. Brian Levine talked this week about a bill that’s picking up steam in Congress that would significantly raise federal taxes on ALL tobacco products. Since VA/Pers age well, and since I really like LBF I decided to take the plunge. Both Smoking Pipes and P&C are now out of it. So I guess I’m not the only one stocking up.
@jfreedy Not really looking to stock up anymore. Figuring out bowl(s) per day + how many average bowls of tobacco per oz., I figure I have roughly enough for 15 to 18 years... I'm 73... 😏 Doesn't mean I won't acquire another blend now and then to try out, but I think my stock up days are over... For you guys that have many more years than me, I think @jfreedy has the right idea...
@KA9FFJ; I didn't do the math, but I've reached the same conclusion. Just looking at my stash of Mason Jars full of tobacco, it seems pointless to keep buying bulk quantities of tobac. The main reason I stocked up was the fear that the government would outlaw or tax or otherwise make pipe tobacco available only on the black market. @jfreedy, what is this country coming too?

I can't figure out if it is the pipe or the drink, that's making my mouth water.
Acquired some PS Bullseye 1 1/2 yrs ago at the St. Louis pipe show. I really like that blend... Nice choice...😁
Maybe not, but it's still an impressive and unique look for a Kirsten....
Forgot to post this yesterday.
Hawgarth Scottish flake in my MM Diplomat while doing some VooDoo!

What a nice blend in a great smoker...
To answer your question, sadly I think it's coming to an end.
