An amalgam.....a 50/50 mix of Scottys Butternut Burley and Sutliff Black Cherry in a Savinelli "Solaria". The sun was warm and bathing the entry deck with glorious sunshine and this little experiment went very well. Fifty degrees and plenty of sunshine on Christmas Eve, who can complain?
I want to wish all the members on our site a Merry and Blessed Christmas. I have been down and out here due to illness the last year and a half or so, but I am finally crawling out of my hole here ( I hope and pray), and as such I hope to be more involved again with my reviews and just keeping up with you wonderful people. God Bless us everyone.
Good day today, opened the latest tin of GLP Jack Knife Plug and there was no mold.
Since the ready rubbed version (which it quite good) is not the same as the plug, My new cellaring technique for the plug is to remove them from the tins and place them in mason jars which takes the guesswork and disappointment out of the equation.
Enjoying the next 10 days off from work with some Balkan Sasieni in a MM Washington. Also using my new Zippo I received as a Christmas gift from my lovely wife.
I don't smoke my pipe during the time I'm Santa. Just a personal choice because I don't want the smoke lingering in my beard. From Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve, I have smoked a pipe twice. On Christmas Eve, I popped open a tin of Jolly Old St. Nicholas.
Had some Lane BCA, also a tin of Corn Cob Pipe arrived today, nose and taste buds are off today, but it seems like a good blend. Like the cut of the blend.Nice and compact.
Still on vacation, smoking some Lane RLP-6 in my Pete Short #264 and drinking a home pulled Caffè Americano (I didn’t have any milk for my preferred Caffè Latte). Ahh, the life of a bachelor...sometimes your not the king🙁.
Enjoying some Amore Amaretto I recently purchased at a local B&M in St. Charles, MO. Reminds me of Sutliff Caramello J2. Sounds like a broken record, but using my meerschaum lined Whitehall sitter...
Currently enjoying the last pipe of the night with C&D's Redburn in my Peterson billiard. I wasn't blown away with my first smoke of this blend, but it's starting to warm up to me now.
Trying some more of the C&D “Innsmouth” (I like) acquired in a trade with @thebadgerpiper awhile back. Thanks @thebadgerpiper. Tonight I’m giving one of my Savinelli Autographs a workout and drinking some lime flavored soda water fizzed up in my “Soda Stream”.
The cut under my right eye was given to me by my new kitten a few days ago. I awoke in the middle of the night with Felix shooting across my face like a rocket. Something startled the hell out of him, I don’t know what? I’m just glad it wasn’t an inch and a half higher. A claw in the eyeball would not have been good. As it was, the cut was bleeding quite a bit. I got up and cleaned the cut, then used a styptic pencil (something my dad turned me onto when I started shaving) to stop the bleeding. A styptic pencil is quite handy to have around with a straight razor, or any razor really...or in this case a startled kitten😬

Merry Christmas my friend
Doing some JOSN in my "Christmas pipe"...
Love that poker shape!!!!!
I'm sure you've been asked before, but how many bowls a day do you average?
Seriously, hope it heals ASAP...
Also, I really like that pipe...
@RockyMountainBriar I'm glad to hear you're enjoying Innsmouth. That's a beautiful Savinelli Autograph, too. I love that shape.
