Headed up to Charlotte for the day to have Christmas with my extended family.... Things have been strained on that side of the family for years and I'm looking forward to this like I would look forward to a root canal. So I'm carrying SPC Wildman, and CS Northwest Trek with me so I can take many breaks through out the day to get away to someplace quiet.... I may have a flask of Jefferson's bourbon hidden on me as well.
I've just finished a bowl of Captain Black classic in a Missouri Meerschaum. The weather is a balmy 42 degrees after a couple of days of rain and near freezing cold.
It's amazing how a good pipe and a little rest can draw the weariness out of your bones and I am bone weary. This fourth quarter has been crazier than usual. I think I'm getting old.
Getting ready to do some Sutliff County Cork I received from my Secret Santa. I'll be using my trusty meerschaum lined Whitehall sitter. The tin note is WONDERFUL! I can hardly wait! If the date on the bottom of the tin is correct, it's been in the cellar 5 1/2 years!
@motie2 Read the first 5 reviews you linked to and I couldn't agree more. The only thing I would add is that the Irish Creme flavor eventually went to the background, but was at the forefront in the beginning and then slowly faded to near gone with 1/4 left of the bowl. Not a problem since I enjoy a good Burley blend... All in all, I'll be reaching for this tin again in the very near future... Tnx again Secret Santa 🎅
Currently smoking my first bowl of John Bull pipe tobacco in my Legend Missouri Meerschaum. It's an interesting English blend, and the Cavindish really comes through in this blend. I'm not sure I would've ever picked this blend up on my own, but thanks to my Secret Santa, I see that this blend has a lot of merit to it.
Just finished shoveling snow so it's break time. Doing some JOSN in a GBD Midnight... And yes, that is a green acrylic stem. I figured it goes with the season... 🎅
Mixed Peterson Connoisseur’s Choice 50/50 with Chronowitsch T-13 for a delightfully fragrant smoke bringing out the best of both, especially the Virginias and the orange/citrus topping (?).
This evening I am out for a walk with my Peterson 314 loaded to the brim with E. Hoffman's Spilman Mixture. It is the perfect evening for this traditional english tobacco that is so mild and flavorful. No nicotine, no bite, but flavor that is amazing.
It has turned cold and windy and I thought I needed something with some serious latakia. Balkan by Brebbia fits the bill. Although it contains no cigar tobacco it seems to fill the place of a good cigar in the bracing cold.

But thanks to Secret Santa, I’ve got me a whole tin. It’ll be like smoking the last of the Frog Morton’s Cellar.... but completely different

Cazart! I never heard of that blend, and I’ve been a Sutliff mark.
Ah, “No longer in production.”
