I has a very uneven grind, and the edge is a bit too thick to work as a shaving razor. I may try to hone it some more, but I don't really need another shaving razor. The RLP-6 is awesome...as always. This Radice was smoking a bit wet until I chamfered the tenon a bit more. I wonder if this was the reason I was able to purchase it as a barely used estate pipe from SPC? There is quite a jump/void between the shank reduction and end of the tenon. It is much better, it’s still in the break-in period though.
@RockyMountainBriar Sounds good. Most members of the pipe community wouldn't know the importance of shank to tenon ratio. You continue to amaze me with your knowledge and expertise... 👍
No smoke today. I woke up with a piercing pain in my side. A Dr. visit, a blood test and an X-Ray later I was told I have pneumonia. I figure I better give the pipe a rest for a little bit.
