Was looking through my stash this morning trying to choose which one to start the day off with and found some Sir Walter Raleigh from 2 years ago. This was the first tobacco I bought and smoked in a pipe. Still just as good as the first time I tried it. Sometimes its good to go back to the beginning.
Have you guys tried SWR Aromatic? A very fine tasting tobacco in sort of a Danish sort of way. Very pleasant aroma and taste. SWR Regular tastes to me like Half and Half or maybe Prince Albert. The Aromatic has a lot of depth and liquor notes. You cannot smoke it too fast or it will bite. A contemplative smoke with just sipping it will bring out every flavor in the blend. It does require a little drying time.
@Londy3 There are few things more satisfying than a good craft beer and a pipe. North Carolina breweries are creating some tasty brews these days. I've not had anything yet from Gizmo Brew Works, but a friend of mine goes to Ashville on business and I'll have to ask him to score me some. Cheers!
@pwkarch, I've been wanting to use a coupon to try a pouch of SWR Aromatic for awhile but my local fellow has yet to have anything but the can in stock....I may have to abandon my coupon ambitions and just order one online soon.
I did manage to use a coupon today on a pouch of Borkum Riff Original. Never tried it, but always felt like I should.
Trying a little C&D Jolly Old St. Nicolas in my little Peterson 2013 Christmas 230.
A quick little shout out for tobaccopipes.com customer service. As you may, or may not know, they do not take pictures of all of their pipes. When I ordered this pipe online, I requested the sales person pick out a pipe with no or small fills and secondarily a nice straight/flame grain as a first choice, or an even crosscut as a second choice. They did awesome, this pipe has no fills, and flame grain going 360 degrees around the bowl, beautiful. The right side actually has better straight grain. I am pretty sure I would have picked this pipe myself.
I'm enjoying some really delicious and very lightly flavored unnamed black cavendish from my local dealer. He won't tell me anything other that it comes from England and that he gets it from a distributor in Kentucky. I plan to continue to bug him for more details.
Molyo Dolce inmy EA Carey rusticated volcano. The window fan worked; SWMBO let me smoke aros in the house. As I no longer smoke English blends, I'm in like Flynn. BTW, the two room notes that did it were Molto Dolce and Jolly OLd Saint Nicholas.

Personally, I like the SWR aromatic more than the original.
I only drink the local craft beer or my favorite Bourbon 😉
