Beautiful day here. High will be around 82°.just finished yard work and rewarding myself with a bowl of Creme Brulee. This will be my 3rd go with this @Corey562 egg and I must say it has to be one, if not the best smoking pipe I have. That's saying a lot with over 50 pipes... And it's not really broken in yet!
Just finished garden work. Before going in for a shower and supper, decided to do some Lane 1Q in a no-name (made in Italy) acquisition from the St. Louis Pipe Show a few years back...
@pwkarch Just received a shipment last week of Sutliff Christmas spice. Bought 8 oz because of reviews I read plus you. Thinking of shelving it til December. What do you think?
Any day can be Christmas if you believe. I have to admit that I bought mine last holiday season, and I also have to admit that the word Christmas is what hooked me. I believe Sutliff to be a premier blender, and I have yet to purchase a tobacco that I did not like (other than some latakia blends of theirs to try, but I knew better I was just trying to branch out of my aromatic habit). I actually have 2 pounds jarred and cellared and I do smoke it all year in my regular search each day to make my choice(s) of selected tobaccos. So I say, ANY day can be Christmas so go for it and enjoy yourself, and if you like perhaps sing a nice Christmas song while smoking and drive someone crazy (but wait for a really hot day).
I would also recommend to you the Sutliff Vanilla Custard, Spicy Vanilla, and Creme Brulee.....all fantastic aromatic blends. My personal favorite being the Vanilla Custard. Also try the Lane Vanilla Black Cavendish for a wonderful smoke.
My recent ttobacco issue is relative to the McClelland closure. They blended the Nording "Hunter Blends" of which I fell in love with the Labrador label. Being somewhat proactive I have 8 or 9 of the tins resting, but I would love to get more simply because I am crazy. It sold for just over $10.00 a tin, and I see several online vendors still have a little but they raised their prices to over $16.00 per. As much as I love this blend, I will not deal with price gougers. Those sites are forever off of my potential suppliers list.
So smoke the Christmas Spice without fear of the Holiday Police citing you. Or for your DI to come get in your face and scream at you. In fact buy several more pounds as we need to all at least watch out for tobacco armegedon if the FDA gets into our lives as they threaten.
Well thank you for your trust. You will not be sorry with nthe Christmas Spice. And the Lane VBC is certainly in my 5 top ten tobaccos so absolutely no disagreement there.......so I salute your obvious good taste in tobaccos.
