@KA9FFJ, Thanks for post, sometimes a confirmation from another member is good. Just had some high expectations for this blend, will be a one time experiment for me.
Had some C&D Mocha today, not real sure about this blend either. Still trying a lot of C&D tins and without a doubt Autumn Evening is so far my favorite. The quest goes on.
Day 2 without smoking for me. What I thought was an allergy /sinus issue now appears to be a full blown summer cold. This is not how I wanted to spend my three days off. Thankfully, I can live vicariously through this forum and all of you fine folks!
Smoked some vintage 1970s Borkum Riff in my 1970s Wenhall this morning. Big difference in taste and room note from the modern tobacco blend available today.
Not exactly NOW, but last evening after running around I sat with a pipefull of Middletons' Cherry Blend. Why: I had been reading about it online, and as the first pipe tobacco I had ever smoked I thought I would return to yesteryear. I just flat out should not have tried to return. Oh well, I did get what I think I remember including total "mouth bite".......I just report them.
@pwkarch, I have a 1960s vintage unopened can of Middleton's cherry and was wondering if would have the same effect. Sounds like a chemical compound that causes tongue bite. I'm curious as to the age of your mixture. Is it just as old as mine or newer?
@Charles Much newer......probably just over two years old. The MCB has a very subdued cherry note, and of course it is all burley. I made it a mission two years ago while I was buying what I wanted to smoke, some of the old "OTC" blends from way back when that i used to purchase just to have them for nostalgic reasons. The old "OTC" blends that I have in bulk are Carter Hall, Half and Half, SW Raliegh Aromatic, Prince Albert, and Edgeworth.....these i do fire up occasionally and still very much enjoy them.

Some Old Dark Fired after chili dogs
Smoking some orange shisha tobacco in the gift my wife brought me home from Lebanon. I will say it’s definitely a cool smoke!
