@PappyJoe — I like it even more knowing it was rescued. I’ve recently gotten into restoring old pipes... high-end or not. In fact, I just picked up 3 rescues on Friday (Charatan, Savinelli Punto Uno & cheap basket Canadian) and loved cleaning up each one.
I also tie my own flies. Smoking a pipe that you’ve restored is like catching a fish on a fly you’ve tied. It’s just so satisfying.
@Charles The Doodler was first made by Tracy Minster the owner of Custombilt, it was an meant to keep your smoke cooler, they were made in the 50's and are kind of rare.
@Woodsman thanks, I've seen that style around before but could not find anything about it. Seems like an interesting looking pipe to me. Much appreciated!
30 degrees, but sunny today. Went out on the rear deck and burned a bowl of 50/50 Barbados Plantation and Mrs. Hudson's, in a large billiard Duncan Hill Aerosphere.
Last night was a Captain Black night. I began with Captain Black "Black Sea" which I packed in my Barabbini Pocket pipe and proceeded to shovel the snow in the driveway. Because of the Latakia I tend to smoke it outside, and this was a perfect excuse to crack open the tin of "Black Sea". Later in the evening I pulled out my Corey Pipe and filled it with Captain Black "Dark" and settled back and watched a Netflix movie "The Cloverfield Paradox". The movie wasn't very good but the pipe sure was.
@Londy3 Been trying to get some Cereme Brulee but it seems to be always out of stock or else I'm just shopping at the wrong time. Anyway, once I'm able to score some, I'll look forward to sharing the moment...
Hey Buddy......Smoking Pipes has the Creme Brulee in stock.....I just ordered a pound along with another pound of Christmas Spice, and a couple of ounces of Stokkybees Sambucca to try.
Someone on this site said that the Creme Brulee is the same as Molto Dolce but in bulk of course.......I don't know about that however.
