@motie2 You ask me to report on the Cest La Vive French Vanilla. I was going to try it today, but my little (4 yr. old) granddaughter came over and well, my attention goes to her as you guys well understand. But when I do get around to that blend, I let you know how it was...
Started the morn' with some Samuel Gawith Full Virginia flake in one of my partial bent Savinelli's. Now I've decided to take my brand new Savinelli Clark's Favorite Rusticated 6mm for it's maiden voyage by filling it with CAO Eileen's Dream. Cheers all! Happy Friday! Go Patriots!
Taking a quick spin through the internet, I find the following have been suggested by fellow pipe smokers as replacements for McClelland 5100:
Mac Baren's HH Pure Virginia McClelland2010 Classic Virginia McClelland Red and Black McCranie’s First Light C&D Ted Virginia Ribbon Fribourg and Treyer Black Jack Solani Silver Flake Robert McConnell Red Virginia 4noggins' Prairie Wind P&C's Lousiana Red McCranie's Red Ribbon
Did a bowl of my go-to blend earlier while finishing a pipe rack. You guessed it: VG Black Cavendish... Oh, I fired it up in a little refurbished pipe I did a while back...
Another parade photo. Nice sunny day. Temperature at 1 pm was 69ºF. I had a couple of parade riders spot my pipe and threw cups and mardi gras beads to me. Two escorts for marching group asked me where I bought my tobacco.
Hey @buflosab— it’s not a tin... I just put a couple of ounces in a mason jar. Keeps it fresher longer without the danger of plastic leaching into the tobacco. Good blend. I see why it’s their most popular.

Just about ready to fire up C&D's Shandygaff in a Twain cob. Never had this blend before, but I've heard good things about it.
