@Corey562 Isn't it great to have the ability to change anything you want concerning your own creations? It's a freedom few of us experience. The best part about it is that no one can say anything because it's YOURS... Have fun, I can hardly wait to see where this one takes you...
Starting to work on a little kaywoodie signet. Once again, dingy, dirty, dull dark brown. Really an ugly pipe in the shape it's in now. I'll throw a couple pics out in the Refinished Pipe category as I progress. I, like you, haven't decided for sure what I'm going to do with it yet. I usually let the pipes "tell me" what needs to be done...
@Corey562 Looks as if it took the black stain good and deep. I agree with the russet, but I also wonder if a slightly bigger contrast, like buckskin or lighter red would also work. Hard to visualize so your experience should make the call. It's looking great!...
@KA9FFJ Here is a side project I have een working on. Started out to be a over side pipe but after I sanded all the pits out it became smaller I guess I could have rusticated it but the pits wouls still be there so it just became a nice size pipe. I did how ever rusticate the bottom just to add a little texture.
