@Corey562 I think the birds eyes on the sides will give the pipe a weightier look. It should really enhance the design. I know your on a tight schedule with the Danish style egg pipe, but I bet you're dying to get back to this pipe for completion... Fascinating, simply fascinating...
@KA9FFJ Well i got a little done one the egg should be finish some time tomorrow but I could not focus on it as long as my mind was on another pipe. So I stopped work sooner than I should and devoted my time to the one I could not get out of my mind.
@Corey562 By the way, that last pipe you just completed before you started on the egg: Don't think I didn't notice it's a hanger. You have to keep waving them in front of my nose don't you...
@Corey562 Acrylic stem... Nice touch! Later when you get time, more pics with side views, etc. will be appreciated. I'm surprised @motie2 hasn't come up with a name for your design. He's probably still trying to catch his breath...
@Corey562 I like it. Given the briar and the design, I might consider rusticating the sides and the double front groove with a contrasting color. Not a deep rustication, just enough to break up the surface for contrast sake. But remember, what do I know. It's a great design and no matter how it's finished, it's a stand-alone beauty... Great creative thinking...
@motie2@Corey562 The DUNCAN! Perfect! The egg turned out fabulous. It's a real beauty. I'd love to smoke that one in my rocker. I can only imagine what a good smoker it will be...
@Corey562 With a 3/16 draft hole it should almost smoke itself! What a pipe! I like how you tapered the stem to blend right in with the shank extension. Makes for a nice smooth transition...
@Corey562 Squat tomatoes are relatively rare. You should have a market for that one. @motie2 is probably more correct than he knows. I have mentioned that shape during pipe shows and about half give me a deer-in-headlights look while trying not to smile...

I have found that line hard to recite while keeping a straight face.
