As unfunny as I usually find Saturday night live, and this was a particularly unfunny bit, there was at least one redeeming prop involved the other night.
@Zouave It’s a shame, because they do have some talented cast members (I like Beck Bennett, Mikey Day, Keenan, and Kyle Mooney), but I only watch the clips that interest me on YouTube. I couldn’t watch the show from start to finish.
As I remember it, the opening "scene" was the "crew" rushing the finishing touches before the opening curtain (so to speak) and every one of them doing their own Ed Sullivan impression -- then the real Ed turned around to face the camera and announced that line they use, (what is it? something like:) "Live from New York, blah, blah blah" just being himself
@motie2 That's a great stamp collection. If it was mine, I would mount the stamps individually on one sheet of foam board, then frame them under nonreflective glass to be displayed with my pipes...

Your head may be weirdly shaped, I wouldn't know,. But my reference was to our mutual lack of a freak flag... 👨🦲
I knew that is what you meant, just messing with you 😬
So far, I cannot find documentation supporting Ed Sullivan ever hosting SNL.

If he did, I bet it was a REALLY BIG SHEW... 😏

There was a time when a pipe was as much a part of outdoor life as a shotgun or a fishing rod.

The 60s were very good to me...🤯
I have many fond memories of the sixties even though I only turned 14 at the end of 1969. The seventies got a little blurry!
