Ok, this was a little different. Twas fantastic too! Made with Choice beef for some Mississippi pot roast.
Finished dinner the with more montepulciano and a six year old bourbon blended tobacco (I blended it with makers several years ago) in my Rossi Antico.
Ended the evening with a nice walk with Vinny and my daughter. Had another bowl with a brew after. Ok, I'm calling it.
@Londy3 Bloody Mary’s? More like a bloody meal😋 The chicken wings are kinda strange skewered-up like that, but those drinks/appetizers/light dinner would make a meal for me🙂
@RockyMountainBriar You never had mine. Don't know if you had it or how it was made but mine It's a little different. Much better than any restaurant for sure.
@Londy3 Now, not saying I would not eat them if they were served by a gracious host, I might just try a smaller serving🙂. There are very few foods I actually despise and would have to be literally starving to eat, such as liver, heart, lung, brain, sweetbreads, gizzards….unless they were snuck into something else in small portions. I have tried most things on this list at least once, sans lung, brain, sweetbreads.
I whipped up one of my favorites this evening. They use to call it “Tostadas” back in the school lunch program here. My friend from Kalispell, MT said his school called them “Hay Stacks”. We’re more citified and cultured here compared to those rednecks😉 It may not be high class, but damn it’s good eat’in. A layer of “Fritos”, topped with some shredded sharp cheddar, topped with a can of hot “Nally’s” original chili with beans (modified with some hot sauce for a bit more of a kick) topped with more shredded sharp cheddar. I would say “Kraft” shredded sharp cheddar, but for some reason I’m having a hard time finding it anymore….all the grocery stores only carry the “cheap shit”….which is just not the same. This cheese was “passable” at least. I had some soda fizz water on ice….hmm…A Salty Blue Dolphin On The Rocks🤔. I’m thinking some G.L. Pease “Windjammer” after dinner in the Barling.

Why do you do me this way?
What the Hell, you can't give me a day off?
Sorry man. Gotta feed my family 😅
The pomegranate seeds would piss me off while trying to eat my oatmeal. They do add some nice bright “start the day” color though.
Snack you say? Looks more like a 3 course meal to me.
Well, I’m far from cultured, but I do like food😋

Tonight: Hot spinach salad over toasted polenta.
Caramelized garlic cloves, superior first cold pressed olive oil, fresh ground pepper, salt, fresh dried basil (my garden), fresh grated pecorino romano & parmesan cheese. Served hot! spectacular 🤌
Sounds good, except I would use the polenta for doorstops or something😖😉

Nah, just not a fan of corn porridge. I dislike soggy corn mush…even crispy. Things like hush puppies, tamales, enchiladas, *bleck*😖

Mmmm bacon 🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓
Today: the Sunday Sauce.
Right now the snack is roasted chestnuts
Never heard of it nor had it. Thought for a moment it was a 3-way chill. If you know what that is 😉
Damn, that looks good Brother!
Nope, not familiar with 3-way chili.
