Went to a local bar that features a menu with almost everything having bacon in it, on it one way or another.
I had their version of a bacon bourbon old fashion, its made with Knob Creek maple bourbon and maple syrup, with the glass is rimmed with maple sugar and bacon essence (what ever that is) and of course a cooked strip of bacon and a luxardo cherry.
It was quite tasty, though I would have preferred a bit less syrup as it was on the sweet side.
@RockyMountainBriar As a guy who has cooked most of my life I have of course tasted raw potato more than once and am now wondering why you chose to eat it raw?
@mapletop Well, because I actually like them that way🙂. Even though they are supposed to be poisonous. Hint, don’t eat the sprouts or any green part of a raw potato, or cooked for that matter, the more sprouts and green, the more poisonous. I always wondered why raw potato sticks were never served at restaurants on veggie trays. Well that, and most “normal” people probably don’t like them.
Back in the old old old days (i.e., middle age UK and earlier), everyone ate them raw unless they were cooking a stew or something. A lot of things were eaten raw in history that we don't today, so we're missing a lot these days (like ringworm, tapeworm, eye worm, lol). Nothing harmful with a raw potato and probably has tons of nutrients.
Baked cod marinaded in butter, lemons, fresh ground pepper, smoked paprika and herbs from the garden, laid on a bed of jasmine rice with a side of steamed broccoli. Paired with lemon vodka and soda on the rocks. Finally ending with LL7 in my sweet MM cob.
I made a dinner of a rolled sirloin on my grill’s rotisserie. I used my smoke box to give it a kiss of peach wood smoke. It was lightly seasoned with Alpine Touch original and their Prairie Fire blend, and fresh cracked black pepper. For sides I had a couple of baked potatoes with butter, salt and fresh pepper prepared on the rotisserie with the sirloin and some buttered canned corn (I don’t care what you say, canned corn works for me…well….Del Monte anyway 🙂).

Raw potatoes?
Some kind of weird diet you're on?
I wouldn’t even have grapes in my groceries🙂. For me, for the ride home, it would probably be beef jerky or Slim Jim’s😋
On a bed of cilantro lime rice, some dry rubbed, marinated and pan seared tuna steaks with a side of buttered green beans...
Have some great bright Virginia in a MM cob. What amazing pairing. Cheers!

Yummie! Homemade is awesome! Never heard of salmon mousse. What is that about?
Sounds real good. But no pics? Sup with that?😂
Man that do look tasty.
Marinated teriyaki chicken over jasmine rice with a side of steamed broccoli. Served with jasmine tea with a splash of almond orgeat.
And for the pairing, I had LL7 in my blue Molina along with
Sparkling lime water and vodka.
Sounds real good. What pipe did you pair it with? Cocktail?
I didn’t get that fancy, had the Savinelli with the McClellands Virginia/Royal Cajun mix before and after, and some sparkling soda with lime.
Yum!
Ethiopian Burberry beef and vegetables over jasmine rice.
Paired well with bourbon and a good Virginia.
