The last time I traveled on a plane I was carrying, in my pocket, my 3 3/4” blade Benchmade 875 Elishewitz Sentinal. That might give you a hint on how long ago it was🙂 I have carried it everyday since I bought it new way back when 1996-2000?
@motie2 Thanks for the bigger picture, very cool knife. Yea, I know it’s not a tanto blade. Personally I actually like the blade shape on this knife better than a tanto blade. I should have said “tanto style or Japenese style”? maybe....with the wrapped handle design.
I really liked this one, alas, I forgot about the auction and didn’t get my chance to snipe it🙁. No, it’s not a spear point, but this is a tanto with a great blade profile.👍🏻
Rimfire, Cupfire, Even Pinfire! – What about Teatfire?
This Civil War era cartridge is akin to rimfire, but avoided the then-current patents out on rimfire. Teatfire had a small nub filled with priming compound that was either flat or rounded at one end of the cartridge. The rim of the cartridge rested at the front of the cylinder.
Didn't know about this thread...here are my nightstand guns...my carry gun is the snubby with the wooden handle. I have 8 more but they are upstairs in my office or in my wife's office, if I get a chance I'll shoot them too (lol, get it?) and post a picture.
@vtgrad2003; Nice assortment. Reminds me of the fellow that was pulled over in his pickup by a state trooper. He had a semi rifle and a 12 ga. pump in the rack on the back window. The trooper asked if he had any more firearms. He replied he had a 45 in a shoulder holster, a 38 derringer in his boot a snub nose in the glove box, and a Glock in the seat cover pocket under his legs. The trooper asked what he was afraid of. He replied not a damn thing!
@opipeman LOL, believe it or not, we were going to Florida in May, pulling our travel trailer, and we were stopped at a checkpoint when we pulled off for gas in SC. Being a law-abiding conceal carry permit holder (my wife as well), I showed him both of our CCW permits as well as my driver's license. He asked if we were carrying, and I told him that I "have a double stack 9 in the side pocket of my center console, a 6 shot 410 revolver in my console along with a single stack 9, a 5 shot snub 38 inside my waistband, and my wife had a double stack 9 in her purse with an extra mag". You know what he asked? "What's the manufacturer?" I told him all were Smith and Wesson, he said, "well, I'm a Ruger guy myself, but Smith and Wesson are okay too...have a great day!" And yes, I always carry that many weapons with me when traveling...this is the United States after all, LOL.
I never travel north of the NC and VA border unless it is to see my wife's family in far Southwest VA or to visit a graveyard we maintain in the same area.
Yes, states such as New Jersey: It’s in the bleeding headlines torn from our city newspapers: street crime, violence, daily rioting, gunships overhead at night shining floodlights everywhere. When the vermin are cornered they scramble like rats. You jail the miscreants, but there’s always hundreds, nay, thousands more. They’re like cockroaches. If only Der Kakerlake Führer had kept his word when he promised, (begin at 1:09)
Years ago the cops (I think maybe Highway Patrol?) pulled over Evel Knievel (His hometown is Butte, MT) for a traffic stop and it hit the national news. They were aghast at the “arsenal” he had. He had a few knives and a couple of firearms and a bunch of ammo. I thought to myself, hell, why are they even mentioning that paltry amount? I have twice what he has in my vehicle at all times. Man I love Montana.
I’ve heard that herding cats is a chore. I can’t imagine getting them to pee in a squirt gun. It might be easier to just carry the cat concealed until the time was right😬

You'll never get through a metal detector! What Brother Balisong said.
Actually, I have.
What brand & model (if known) of knife is the one in the first picture, middle row, far right? It’s a kind of modified tanto, cool, very cool.
This one? It’s not a Tanto. It’s a no name.
I have carried it everyday since I bought it new way back when 1996-2000?

Eh, to me paracord is paracord. But, I agree: it has a plucky look.
Impressive!

Stay out of Illinois.
Yet the music never stopped.
I know you to be correct. I'm not up to date on the states that are nonreciprocal. I don't travel much or very well, for that matter.
