Was watching the news yesterday and it was announced one of the major
cities in California was banning the sale of tobacco in all forms ...
including vaping. Seems like it was Beverly Hills.
I'll bet they are all okay with cbd, pot, needle exchange..........
@ghostsofpompeii; My Mrs. has been meeting her coffee girl friends at a local park (weather permitting) about once a week. They set in a circle in their own lawn chairs at lease six feet apart. Someone will bring donuts or cookies and everyone brings their own coffee. They all wear masks except one. They are all in their 70's or 80's. My wife got a call from the mask-less wonder yesterday that she and her husband had tested positive for the virus. She exposed the group last Thursday. We haven't exhibited any symptoms as yet, and are self quarantining. Sooo, no Thanksgiving with our son, daughter-in law and grand babies. I try to look at the bright side of every situation, and dream that someday I can get my hands around the neck of the mask-less wonder and make her China Virus e seem like a walk in the park(no pun intended).
Sorry to read that @opipeman I can't wait for a safe vaccine.
Overall I'm not concerned about the future, I've been prepared with alternatives since Daddy Bush. Looks like we might as a species be testing Darwin's theory.
I only started smoking in 2012, so I won’t miss tobacco. I might trade it for cartridges though. Then I can trade the bullets for lots more tobacco....and cartridges😬.
The US is officially headed for doomsday. With o'biteme in office, plan on these three things to happen: 1. Keep people in fear 2. Keep people misinformed and the children under-educated 3. Disarm 4. I should not have to spell out the last step
They are already doing most of this folks. Everything is in position right now.
@motie2 When I read the shipping tobacco article, the first thing that came to mind was our way of personally supplying our own cellars. The second thing that came to mind was our annual secret Santa efforts...
"Pipe smokers who inhale live as long as nonsmokers and pipe smokers that don’t inhale live longer than non-smokers. Death rates for current pipe smokers were little if at all higher than for non-smokers, even with men smoking 10 pipefuls per day and with men who had smoked pipes for more than 30 years."

@RockyMountainBriar I'd would trade tobacco for ammo! I'm def not married to it and ammo will be handy for 2021. Especially at the rate this are going already just a couple weeks into the new year. Sheesh
IMHO In all my years on this earth, my personal experience has been that one of the greatest excercises in futility is the discussion of politics. I stopped doing that YEARS ago when I suddenly was given an epiphany that (GENERALLY speaking), nothing I said would change another's political mind, and nothing they said would change my political mind as well. Again, FUTILITY... Another reason why I enjoy TPL. For the most part, we all tend to stay away from, or at least don't pursue, the political arena. Personally, I already get enough of that crap on TV. I know I'm off topic, but @motie2 latest cartoon prompted this ramble, so blame him...😁
@motie2 bad bad bad @KA9FFJ I do understand and agree..however, to Moties defense, the topic is FDA Fun and it's pretty impossible not to get tangled in politics on this sensitive topic.
Please no misunderstandings. I LOVED that cartoon because it epitomizes my attitude toward politics in GENERAL, not issues concerning our beloved hobby. That's why I gave him an "awesome" ...
Received a tobacco shipment today from smoking pipes, They had a sale last week on Capt Earl's blends.
Anyway I noted that all but one container had dropped the FDA mandated warning on the label, after examining the date codes on the bottoms, the one packaged in September 2020 still had the warning,
All the rest were packaged in October and had reverted to the original copy.
Can't remember exactly who in the tobacco industry sued the FDA, but cheers to them.

Thanks. We are symptom free, so far. I think we will be OK. One more week and we can see our grand babies.

I’ve had the same reaction.
