@NicoleSTGLaneLtd - Is it possible to create a separate click-on tab under <Categories> in addition to General, Ask an Expert, Pipes & Tools, Tobacco Talk, The Lounge, and The Pack tabs as listed in the left margin?
Possibly call it <Welcome New Members> or <Newcomer Intros> or something Like that? It would be nice to see the new members and welcome them to the platform as they come on board. Just asking.
@Charles - When I talked with Nicole at Texas Pipe Show this Fall she said she typically only checks the website a couple of times a week. Her duties with Lane LTD are pretty vast (she wears several hats). I'm sure she'll respond soon.
@jfreedy - Yep. Pretty much from the time @CharleneSTGLaneLTD moved up and @NicoleSTGLaneLtd took over, there has been less involvement with the admin. I wouldn't say we are on our own as much as they have come to trust us to self monitor.
Hello All, I'm in southeast Louisiana, originally from Escondido California but that seems like eons ago. Married, kids, grand kids. Passionate about motorcycles and touring. I've been smoking a pipe now for just a few months now, I have two pipes at the moment, a Dagner 3622 and a MM Country Gentleman. I have to be honest, I was so surprised at how well that corn cob pipe smokes! Love my Dagner also, just have to take it slow to keep it from getting wet, but slow is good, to me that's what pipe smoking is about, to savor the smoke. So far two tobacco's, McClellend Mellow Mack and Cult Anonymous, I enjoy each equally well.
Great to meet you, @OctoberKing. Can't go wrong with a MM Country Gentleman. In fact, I've been smoking a pipe for over 30 years now, but I'm just now fully appreciating corncob pipes. I have 8 now and love them all. My very favorite is a MM Cobbit Shire. One of my top 5 best smokers. Again, welcome to TPL & the world of pipe smoking!
Welcome @Octoberking nothing wrong with cobs. They are great dependable smokers that can go anywhere without the worry of damaging them like with a briar.
Hello everyone, I’ve been smoking pipes off and on for a few years. Recently I got further into the hobby , and have enjoyed discovering new tobaccos and history of certain pipes. Currently my collection is compromised of a couple of savenelis, Peterson, and a few early Ben Wade freehand pipes, along with a plethora of corn cobs. I’m glad to be here and to start contributing.
Hi all, just finished my registration today! ive been hearing about TPL for months on country squire radio, and i knew id get on here eventually. this is my first forum, so im excited to check things out, learn, and hopefully contribute as well. Im from new york, ive been smoking pipes for 2 years now, and i smoke everything, my desired taste changes daily. First tin was frog morton, and i still love it, also a huge fan of 3 oaks from mclelland, and second breakfast from the country squire.
