I have my Peterson PPN 2024 (309) loaded with some C&D WR “Kringle’s Delight”. I am pairing that with some Irish Poitín (Barley Moonshine), straight up.
Tnx @Londy3 That was someone's rough practice stummel that I rusticated and decided because of its shape, it was a good candidate for a churchwarden/LOTR pipe. Stummel: 2 bucks Stem: 3.50 The smoke: priceless! 🙂
I may have told you wrong about this pipe in the past. This is the only pipe I have left from my original 60s pipes. All my other pipes have either broken long ago or are lost. I have told you before that my wife (then fiancé), accompanied me to Jost's pipe shop downtown St. Louis and purchased it for my birthday. I think I told you all it was in 1968... WRONG! When she just saw me with this pipe, she reminded me it was during our summer break after our 1st year of college. That would make it 1967. That means this pipe has been with me almost 58 years! I have had to restem it. The original (which was black), was just about chewed through. Anyway, a Knute Demark freehand with some Panna Cotta...
Smoked some Jolly Old St. Nick and The Untouchables while out with my son at Whiskey & Ashe, a cigar and whiskey bar that only allows cigar and pipe smoking.
@KA9FFJ Another one of the tampers I made on my lathe. It has a poker screwed inside too.🙂
Just finished snow blowing out my driveway and walks. We got 6”-8” of snow and it’s about 22F out, perfect snowblower snow. Too warm and the machine plugs, too cold and…well….it’s just freaking too cold🥶 I have my Pete SH Barley “Hansom” loaded with some SPC “Hogshead”.
I’m sitting here, contemplating my smoke and it dawned on me…WTF, this SPC “Hogshead” is described on the tin and on the tobacco reviews website as a Pure Virginia Plug. Mine ain’t no plug. It looks like it may have been in a plug, but it it definitely sliced into ribbons. Now I feel cheated.

There should be a lot more public places like that.
Bet you had a great time...
What's the material used on that Ropp stem... I like how it looks...
That’s a natural horn stem on @judandhispipe’s….pipe.
My Ropp Stout Bulldog with natural horn stem.
Love that pipe AND the tamper... 👍🏻
Taking a break with some Sutliff Sunset Rum in my newly acquired extended shank meer I recently restemmed...
