Used to carry one in my EDC along with a small pouch for years until I got an offer I couldn't refuse from a prepper friend of mine Been long gone for a few years. I must say, I don't miss it...
Rummaging through some of my stuff, I found one of my time/score sheets from an “Action Pistol” match I competed in around 1994, I was about 30. The yellow hi-lite row are my runs. The Mark H. at the bottom is my friend that now lives in TN. We were late I guess? and missed the first run. #2 Dave, was a co-worker that wanted to have me compete so badly that he paid for all of my ammo for the day for the whole match👍🏻. Notice, my fastest time kicked his butt (run #8) 5 bowling pins completely off the table (at 15 yards) in 3.2 seconds. My other runs were pretty good too. I was top dog in this part of the match. I think I came in at the middle of the pack overall, and some prize money in the competition. I was shooting my Colt 1911 Series 70 45ACP, stock, normal mags, without a compensator. #2 Dave was shooting an AMT Longslide 45ACP. My buddy Mark H. was shooting a S&W Auto 9mm (I don’t recall the model). The bowling pins must be knocked completely off of the 4x8 table to score….a 9mm just won’t “send” a bowling pin off of the table like a 45ACP unless it’s a very solid hit, and even then maybe not. In his defense, he was hitting the pins, they just wouldn’t leave the table. They would get knocked over, then spin around, with each hit, but he couldn’t get them off the table consistently (even with the 15 rounds he had in his magazine). I don’t recall which of the other competitors it was, but he went on to the Nationals in Las Vegas that year. If I recall correctly, he took the #1 spot in our overall match. I’m not sure how he did in Vegas? My guess would be #1 John or #6 Dave by the scores here? He was running a “full race” gun, probably a $2500-$5000 pistol at the time….today….whoo’ee?
I’m not sure how much I’ll carry it, but I bought a new knife that I though was just too nice to pass up at it’s sale price. They bill it as a “gentleman’s knife”. I’m not sure I can pull off “gentleman”🤔 It’s a Boker Plus Matsuno LRF Front Flipper Knife. 3" VG-10 Satin Blade, ball bearing pivot, liner lock. Ivory-Like White Resin Handles with leather fob.
Ok TPL brothers, I was gifted this new “Sharp & Pointy” Kershaw Livewire OTF auto (new model with Magnacut steel) by my friend that now lives in Tennessee. He also custom laser engraved it for me. He has a fairly powerful laser engraver🙂. I have decided to retire my tank of an EDC I have carried nearly every day since it was new for the last 25 years. I even carried it on my most recent plane ride…which happened to be a return trip from previously mentioned friends home. It’s been many years since I have been on a plane😉. My retiring EDC is a Benchmade Elishewitz Sentinel. The blade use to be solid black, and it has been sharpened so many times, the point has migrated up and back. The blade use to be about 1/4” longer, it’s still a great knife, but it’s not an auto.
I blocked out the serial number on the Kershaw, hence the “black blob” on the blade near the “ejection port”.
I also couldn’t pass up this little guy, it’s not going to be an EDC, but it’s so dang cool. Made in China, but looks and feels solid and well made. Ahh, the bane of a collector.🤪. Felix has a thing for the chain…he heard it hit the table and he came running from the other room, crazy cat.

I don't smoke pipes that much to carry every day. Not practical at all for me.
I must say, I don't miss it...
i found this earlier in this folder. Would you be interested in selling all or part of your collection?

Any questions?
It’s an assisted opening CRKT “Ritual”.
Such a cool combo. Perfect pair.
Like that 50s style color on a gun. Ha.
Sweet slasher!
Yes, it’s pointy too, but I don’t think a thrusting motion is what it has “in mind”🙂
Nice bunch of stickers.
