Enjoying some Queen Anne's Revenge in a restemmed Calabrest. This blend was gifted to me by a good friend here at TPL during one of our STL pipe shows. I must say I really like this blend...
Just getting over some sort of stomach thing, so taking advantage of some quiet time now that everyone is in bed to load up a Chacom Puma with some Nougat.
@Londy3; Having been involved in a couple of tornado disaster preparation planning operations, I've learned a few things. My advise is don't forget to roll up your car windows.
I found out this evening that SPAM warmed in the microwave is kinda nasty smelling…actually it kinda always is, but once every few years I grab a can anyway. I remember the “Hickory Smoke” flavor being more palatable. It seems it has lost some of it’s appeal…..I tell you this because I needed to “refresh” my home, so I am burning a bowl of C&D “Espresso” in a Peterson “Sports” 6 this evening. The room note is way better than microwave Hickory Smoke SPAM.
@Zouave1864 That sounds ok. I cubed and fried some and added it to my Kraft Mac & Cheese.
I fried a couple slices and made a couple SPAM, Egg & Cheese Biscuits for breakfast. Sliced some from the can and had it with crackers. A whole bunch of healthy meals😬
Down at Branson for "Southern Gospel Picnic" at Silver Dollar City. Top charted musical individuals and groups converge here for over a week with concerts and a great time. Starting the day with LL-7 in a T. Christiano...
Smoking some of my recent loot tobacco C&D “Steamworks” in my recent loot estate pipe, a Pete “Sterling Silver” Lovat 53. I cleaned the Pete up first, SPC estates are just not clean enough for me. This one was better than some I have purchased. I reamed it, cleaned it and I also bored the airway to 4mm, chamfered the tenon and taper drilled the stem. This pipe was from the”dip stain” days, the mortise bled oodles of dye still😖.
Smoked a bowl of "Briary Blend Bob Roast" in my Tim West pipe. I don't know who made this blend or whether there is a connection to The Briary pipe & cigar shop in Homewood, Ala.. I did find some information, a prolific tobacco reviewer on tobaccoreviews.com
The stoved Dominican cigar cavendish provides a fair amount of earth, wood, leather, vegetation, herb, stewed tangy citrus, some sugar, cedar, tea, bread, light creamy coffee, nuts, pepper, grass and a couple of cocoa notes as the lead component. The blackened Kentucky burley cavendish offers a lot of sweet nuts, earth, wood, and bread in a support role. Almost equaling that is the creamy, sugary stoved black cavendish. The sweetly tart dark cocoa topping is a little more prominent than the sweet espresso, and both tone down the tobacco a little more than moderately.
Man the story has been the same for about us all to hot, to sick, to busy… well not tonight. Cool outside, got the time, and coming off the heels of a medium rare steak… now if only I could watch TV outside and smoke. This is something like that. HH Burley in the basket briar in the garage watching hunting through the window
Smoking a Peterson “Special” 742 loaded with some Peterson’s “Signature Flake”, a L.E. straight Virginia, from 2015. I wish I had bought more than one tin….oh well, like I need more tobacco.
Last month I was gifted an almost 5 oz. block of SPC Plum Pudding Barrel Aged Christmas Spirit. it was a limited edition for last year where they took the Plum Pudding Special Reserve and aged it for 30 days in VSOP cognac barrels. I've already smoked about an ounce of it.

Women have their priorities and we have ours. Thank God they aren't switched.
That blend sounded tasty, alas, I missed the “tobacco boat”. I thought it was kinda expensive as well, if I recall correctly.
