That is basically the same law they passed in Montana ~10 years ago, even the distances from doors/vents/openings-25ft. It did shut down smoking in bars, casinos, and tobacco stores as well. “Private” cigar lounges/clubs are still permitted. I don’t know of any pipe lounges.
Chemicals/synthetic alternatives (poison) along with marijuana is perfectly fine according to your trusty government. Because they look after and protect the people. 🙄
Unfortunately we have probably all known it was just a matter of time before the FDA would begin lumping cigars and pipe tobacco into the same pile with cigarettes. What a shame...
With all the problems in America the Government picks the low hanging fruit to concentrate on, like tobacco. Since there are so few pipe smokers we're an easy target. And with little or no push back from the general population in regards to our personal freedom to smoke - the FDA can look like champions in their struggle to rid the world of that pesky second hand smoke. With the growing number of Vegetarians gaining power and a louder voice,they'll be coming after our meat soon. Lately I feel as though I'm in a different Country, the place Seinfeld called Bizarro World ... were things are topsy turvy - up is down, right is wrong, good is bad, weird is normal. My only consolation is I'm 71 and there are more years behind me than ahead. So I won't have to witness the complete transition to this Brave New World in store for us.
Unfortunately for me I will probably live through some of the bad times most likely coming. I don’t want to be a Socialist or Commie, but apparently quite a few US Citizens do…..until it actually happens, then they will find out. They think there is class separation now, there will be no “middle class” left.
In their heads, on this issue anyway (tobacco), it's all about control and has nothing to do with any other 'low-hanging" fruit, unfortunately. What they don't understand is that all "good" communist nations (I say that tongue-in-cheek of course), give their citizens little "luxuries" to pacify their populations, like booze and cigarettes, especially luxuries that will shorten the life of constituents so the state doesn't have to pay for their later years, so they are going about this totally ass backwards.
