One time, getting an early start on a kitchen retiling job with a friend, I enjoyed a bowl of Quaker LIFE cereal. Having no milk, I poured beer into the bowl. It was not bad; the graininess of the cereal went well with the beer...... but I have not had it again...... in decades.
@motie2 I remember my brother eating a bowl of Capt'N Crunch with Mountain Dew...not because were out of milk...just because. I think he ate it all. I stuck with the milk
Like the idea of whiskey in your coffee, maybe just a little bigger splash.... You know, better start a little bit more relaxed a busy day. Right now, smoking C&D Jamaican Rum.
About a thousand years ago, back in college on spring break in Daytona Beach, FL, it was a 10 day ordeal of which I don't remember much. I can recall waking up in someone else's hotel room needing some breakfast. Found a box of rice crispys and opened a beer. Yep, snap, crackle and burp.
I've never mixed cereal with beer or soda, but as a kid I loved cereal that would change the color of the milk. Reading these posts brings back a memory I had back in grade school. I'd sometimes pour a little cherry hi-c into my cereal bowl to color the milk. I'm sure I'd hate it now, but back then I liked it.
Just Recieved an order from P&C via pony express, included in this order was Lane BCA, I couldn't remember for the life of me if I had ever bought this blend ( I didn't), I saw so many members mention this blend so I tried it. It was great, Thank you members.
Also Recieved a couple ounces of Lane RLP-6, again saw it mentioned many times so I gave it a try. Another winner. So I immediately mixed a small bag of Lane BCA and Lane RLP-6.Pretty nice combo.
Ah, but @motie2, regarding taste any argument is inherently moot, is it not? I like my marshmallows lightly browned and you like yours blackened....we're both right, aren't we? The arguments come when I need to convince you that browned is the superior hot campfire goop.
More to the topic at hand, finally decided on a bowl of VBC and some bourbon that's been sitting in a cool little charred oak barrel my wife gifted me Christmas a year ago. I am thankful to have stumbled into a work partnership recently that has left me with damn near zero time for a relaxed bowl. Command decision today was to not work and catch up on some things that I've neglected around the house as a result. Bourbon and pipes are on the list.
Had a quick bowl of country squire’s shepherds pie this afternoon. Smooth. Consistent. Smoky and leathery. I was doing one of my favorite Sunday afternoon traditions I call Pipe and People. Quite simply, I just call an old friend and enjoy my pipe. Today it was an army buddy who moved to Boston for a recruiting job.

Was horrible.

How did you like the Erinmore Flake. I had smoked Erinmore Mixture in the past, but was disappointed with the Flake form.
