@ghostsofpompeii Reminds me of a weak Sunset Rum. It is a very pleasant smoke, just not as bold in the flavoring as I had hoped. Easy lighting, nice aroma... I'd give it a 7/8 out of 10 when comparing it to Sunset Rum...
Just got my order frm smoking pipes and pipes+cigars. 20 year cigar smoker, newbie pipe smoker. Dad smoked capt black for decades. Breaking in my estate savineli eith cpt b lack cherry. Love both
Last night the weather co-operated with me and I was able to sit in my garage man cave and enjoy a bowl of Captain Black "Black Sea". Had several licorice scented candles burning at the same time to mask the scent of Latakia so I wouldn't stink up the garage too bad. Walked in this morning to see what the after effects my last night's smoke had on the place and I gotta' tell you ... it was a unique aroma lingering about the place ... neither pleasant or unpleasant. Just different. Damn near impossible to put into words.
Mail came today and it included a 2-oz. tin of G.L. Pease Stratford stamped 072103. I opened it to find a well-aged Virginia/Perique blend and loaded it into my Søren freehand. A big thank you to @Praider8 for the gift.
A blend of C&D Midnight Drive, Burley flake #5 and Lane BS-005, found that the midnight drive had too much Perique for my taste. in a 1/4 bent brown brushed Stanwell pot
