@KA9FFJ I agree. It all depends on how much time I have and what my mood is at the time. Here in the construction zone it seems that big pipes have won out most of the time.
@motie2 when he lit his pipe after the charring and was trying to keep it lit, the sound of his puffing was similar from a result of packing the bowl too loosely. In other words, the tobacco was not nested firmly enough to insure ongoing combustion. I could be wrong, but when I hear that much air being easily drawn through the pipe, it's time for a firmer packing of the bowl... IMHO Also, as we all know, a too loosely packed bowl can also result in a hotter smoke.
Just finished up an entry for my blog that I've been working on for the past week or two. There's a ton of guides out there on how to start smoking a pipe, but nothing really on where to go next. I tried to come up with an article to help guide newer pipe smokers into finding the right path for them.
@motie2 That's frustrating. Any issues with wordpress is a bit out of my hands, as I'm at the mercy of their services. I'm hoping to update my membership to a paid one when it goes on sale, so I hope that solves the issue.
Found this artsy-fartsy estate sale on Craigslist that may have escaped notice of any members here from the vicinity of Reading, MA (too far for me) which has one item near the bottom of the generalized list: "
- A collection of men's tobacco pipes"

Our "good friend Bradley" at Youtube's StuffandThings channel has posted the following in response:

You do realize that it is a satire, right?
I shoud have put it in the Shits and Giggles folder. My bad.....
That Bradley “Stuff and Things“ video is satire? Or the other one?

Extremely cogent and well put forth. Great essay.
Nope, I don’t have one of those, and I have not seen one either.
