@Londy3 i'd trade that Autumn Evening for a piece of stale jerky. as we've discussed i like it less every time I smoke it but i keep trying to like it. This morning I had a bowl of JM Boswells Countryside in a Country Gentleman with this mornings coffee and commute which was a pleasure. @KA9FFJ That's a gorgeous pipe. Where does that Queen Anne's come from? Being from a town with Blackbeard lore it has piqued by interest.
Had a doctor's appointment yesterday morning and all basically went well (he didn't tell me I had to stop or cutback on anything I do). I celebrated with a bowl of The Mallard in my Ardore Venére will sipping on a glass of ice tea. I followed that with a bowl of C&D King cake in my @Corey562 churchwarden. I switched to a dram of Bolivar Rum to pair with the King Cake.
Smoking a Savinelli Ontario 812 loaded with the Panama Jack “Melon”. It was pretty tasty last time out, I could detect the “melon” or whatever it is a little more than I remembered from the past. It was not as good as they”Key Lime”….and still isn’t, but it’s ok. I think I will have to have a couple? few? shots of Yukon Jack this evening, it’s rainy, cold, and dreary, perfect for “The Black Sheep Of Liquors”. 100 proof “oughta” warm things up😬
Italian Auto Stiletto, Italian Savinelli Anniversary 120, Grade L. Savinelli pipe stand, some 6-7 year old Tobacco, Savinelli’s 140th Anniversary 1876-2016, a blend containing Italian dark-fired florets, which are the cut off ends from Toscano Cigar production. Now if I had some Italian Galliano liquor for a cocktail 🤔
@RockyMountainBriar Damn man, now your speaking my language. If I were close, we would have Galliano and others along with a tremendous Italian dinner and great Italian wine. 🇮🇹🤌
After dinner I loaded up a Pride with GH Balkan Mixture and cracked open a $2.09 close out bottle of Vermouth. I returned a call from an old friend realizing that I would do more listening than talking. Sure enough I couldn't finish a full sentence in response to his dismay about critical thinking, how can you be a critical thinker without listening to another view! Now I sitting back with GLP Westminster in an MM bent Apple Diplomat and a glass of fine Vermouth.
Did 18 this morning, then messed around the house with some rather insignificant projects. Now relaxing on the front porch with some Sunset Rum in a Knute freehand...
Smoking some Vauen “Black Pepper”, dang this stuff is tasty. I have it loaded in an old BBB “Own Make” 2947 Zulu with “Hesson Guard”. Probably made around the mid-twenties to early thirties, it has the early red and silver diamond stem inlay, and the patent on the “Hesson Guard” is Dec. 22, 1925. Several of my old WDC pipes have the “Hesson Guard” as well.
I'm adding to the campfire aroma of the air with GH Balkan Mixture in a bent MM Apple Diplomat to go along with morning coffee. I should have completed the scene by making cowboy coffee!
