As promised (and thanks to @RockyMountainBriar) I'm doing some Half & Half in a repaired Paronelli... Half & Half... another "good old days" reminder...🙂
@KA9FFJ; I love the looks of that pipe. I've smoked 1/2 &1/2 for decades, I likes it. I mix it with Edward G. Robinson. (2/3 Half &Half and 1/3 EGR) for my go to tobac. I've read that the mixture was Shelby Foote's Blend. I would have loved to have known him.
@Londy3 H&H has been around a long time. I THINK since 1903? Loose cut Burley and bright Virginias are the base for this blend. It has long been an American staple along with such blends as Sir Walter Raleigh, Prince Albert, Carter Hall, etc. Anyway, rather than me ramble on and on, just Google "Half & Half tobacco" and you'll get reviews and history...
Doing some Sutliff 245-ZBC in an old estate-find Sultan. This blend is dark-fired Kentucky steamed to a Cavendish, then topped with caramel, cream and vanilla. It produces a thick smoke with a great room note. TIP: This tobacco is too wet to smoke right out of the bag (comes in bulk). I have found that spreading it out on 2 layers of paper towels and allowing it to dry for around 48 hrs gives me a most enjoyable experience.
Oh, I will add that the frosty white stuff might stick around awhile. The forecasted highs for the next ten days only make it to 33F on Saturday. It does stay above 0 though for the lows👍🏻
@RockyMountainBriar Drying time: I know. 48 hours seems like a long time. I have gotten by with 24, but 48 seems to work better...for me. I guess I could say 24 to 48 hours would work... That would be up to personal tastes...🤔 Oh, about your weather... 😬🥶
@mfresa Indeed there is. A little cooler this morning, wind chill is suppose to be -6F, but it’s not too bad. I don’t think I feel like clearing off my patio and steel patio furniture for an outdoor smoke though😬.
@RockyMountainBriar; You have it now, I'll have it soon. At least I got all 5 of my garbage cans full of cut scrap wood for my stove in my smoking shed. I'm getting to old to see the beauty of the first snow. To meself, snow and crap are interchangeable.
Actually felt half way normal today. It never ceases to amaze me what time will do when you let it... Anyway, wanted to whittle down my Frankenblend jar to make room for another oz. or 2, so I'm presently on my 3rd bowl of same using my CAO Cavalier meer... Giving it a good workout...😁
I hate snow, I hate to be cold, I hate short dark days, I hate not seeing sunshine for months on end. There is nothing fun about fighting harsh winters. Been there done it for years and over it. 🥶❄️🌨️🧊🥶 Glad to be in the south!
@RockyMountainBriar Back in the early 90's when i was actively playing music (blowin harp) in the Chicago blues clubs with a couple of bands, I sat in with AC Reed and the Spark Plugs one evening.
At the first break of the evening I offered to buy AC a drink; He ordered scotch and milk (the bar tender later told me that it was because he had an ulcer) against my better judgment I decided to try it myself.
In the ensuing years since that experience I have never thought about trying it again.
I hope your recipe includes more than whiskey and milk LOL:)

Never let it be said your not a man without influence.
Half & Half is now on my list for tomorrow...😁
Well, turnabout’s fair play. I think “somebody” 🤔 influenced my BCA pick earlier🙂
Good news about your health getting back on up to speed. 👍👍👍

Nice modified cob, perfectly paired with a great looking shirt. Looks as if Christmas is just around the corner...😏

Wow, that’s quite a bit of dry time
Thanks, cut the shank off a pipe with a split bowl and added it to a cob. Christmas is my favorite time of year. 😀🎅🏻
Oh crap!
And I was complaining it was only 65 today.
