@utilityworker101 I love it……but then again, it has some really funky, sweet, sour, dark fruit-ish (Perique crap) in it😬 The first tin I opened way back when had, and has, a strongly reminiscent aroma of fermented silage (not manure for any that may not know the difference 🙂) that hooked me. What can I say, I’ve farmed and ranched some. Born and raised in Montana, what would you expect🙂. I’d say “Cabbie’s Mixture” it’s a substitute for McClelland’s “Beacon” (for me it is), but it’s really not the same at all. “Cabbie’s Mixture” is sweeter, and way more sour. “Beacon”, which I also love is not as sour, much less sweet and has a lot more pepper spice kick from the Perique. Personally I prefer the “Cabbie’s Mixture” and I am glad it is still being produced, albeit tough to acquire. I have 2-3 tins hoarded away. Sadly only one jar of ~10 year old “Beacon” and it’s about half gone (I ration it🙂). I usually grab a couple of tins of “Cabbie’s Mixture”, when I can, to bolster my supply. I am not one of those guys that tries to buy up every single tin in existence, that’s rude.
Started this morning with some Lane 1-Q in a reworked and restemmed Paronelli... Sidenote: I'm shaving my mustache off for the summer, and will probably start it back up this fall (if I can last that long)... I thought I'd let you guys know so you won't think someone else has taken over my TPL account...😏
@vtgrad2003 I believe that all of the Peterson System Deluxe’s with the briar circle stem logo inlay were carved by one man at Peterson, now retired, Paddy Larrigan. So, “special” pipes indeed.
I have some McClelland’s “Virginia” with a pinch of McClelland’s “Royal Cajun-Dark” smoldering in my Savinelli Ontario 812. French Pressed Yirgacheffe for drink. I might have added too much “Royal Cajun” to the mix, it’s not overpowering, but it’s more than a “hint”.
Saaamokin some LL7 in my favorite blue Molina! Along with some Tito's, lime and basil cocktail while I'm grilling teriyaki chicken over rice. Cheers y'all
@Londy3 Well, the C&D ‘Espresso” is tasty, but I don’t get a huge coffee flavor from it. It’s the only “coffee” flavored tobacco I have. The new C&D collaboration with “Warped Cigars” sounds like it would be interesting, Shane Ireland’s review says it’s coffee all around, taste, tin note, room note. “Saint Espresso”, I think I might have to get some, the Latakia part in the blend sorta dissuades me some, but he said it does not have the creosote flavor I despise.

Does that MM Mark Twain have an original stem, or is it an orange swirl/“Creamsicle forever/acrylic stem?
I wish it were like a creamsicle. It's just a semi-clear orange stem
Original MM type, or an acrylic aftermarket?
It's an original MM and stem
Sweet pipe!
Good looking pipe ..
@vtgrad2003

Sounds great. I need a good coffee tobacco. Any recommendations?

Love the mini cob. I have a couple of them. Great for a short puff.
