Smoking some of last year's Peretti Thanksgiving blend in a Rattrays old gowrie Zulu. I am enjoying this blend alot more with a few months of aging behind it.
It's too hot to mow here... but I did it anyway (push mower, no rider)! So I'm now sitting here in drenched clothes (including my underwear), doing some Lane RLP-6 in a reworked Archway bent while drops of sweat continue to drip on the garage concrete floor😓... Does this qualify me as a "Hardcore pipe smoker" or what? 😳😏
I went out to mow today as well, luckily for me the mower was out of gas and my gas can was empty😬. I did chop out a 7 ft. tree that was growing from a runner off of my Quaking Aspen though. I’m smoking a Danya Acorn that was one of the first pipes I made a new stem for. Hey, lookie there, long stem/churchwarden day🙂. It’s loaded with some Cult Blood Red Moon….this stuff is still super wet floor sweepings with stems added for filler and the chemical aroma of a urinal cake even after years in a mason jar. I have to say, I think it is smoothing out a little though. “Hey ‘Rocky’, tell us how you really feel about this tobacco”. 😬
Adapt, Improvise, and Overcome.......a friend of mine who was (is, sorry) a Marine and I exchange barbs, me being navy he once told me Marine stands for "My ass rides around in Navy Equipment"...I am sure you have heard that. Semper fi Brother
Got in 18 earlier in sweltering heat with some Lane BCA in a reworked Paronelli. Rain and thunder have now moved in cooling things down a bit here in the St. Louis area, so I decided to sit on the back screened in porch and do some Ashton Rainy Day in an MM Emerald cob...
tried to bust out my Rattrays Zulu at the top of Mt. Washington New Hampshire, way to wet, way to windy, buy the highest I have ever tried to smoke a pipe. 😬
Had some Boswells Best today.Plus the last of Stanwell Vanilla. The only barb I ever heard about when I was in the Army, was Navy based. Probably everyone has heard this, “ Joined the Navy to see the world and what did I see, I saw the sea. Sorry Navy guys, you know I respect you.

I don't know about a "Hardcore pipe smoker", but it qualifies you as a "Hardcore lawn mower".
Yes, that def qualifies as a hard core pipe smoker!
