@motie2 ~ The Charing Cross seems to get better and better as it breathes in a mason jar. I'll be getting more of it to cellar. I just ordered some GLP Spark Plug and can't wait to try that!
Had our pipe club meeting last night and one of my colleagues offered me some Barlings Tradition 1812 tobacco to try.
If your an English smoker, and if you can find it, I highly recommend it; the Latakia they use is particularly excellent.
I also cracked a tin of Robert McConnell Oriental Square which is a knock off of Dunnhill Durbar, and while not exactly the same, it was very similar and a really quite excellent smoke in and of its own.
Currently smoking C&D's Poplar Camp in my Nording Freehand. Also finished up my review of the documentary Father the Flame for my pipe blog. You can find it here if you're interested in reading my thoughts on it. The tl;dr summary is, it's a great doc about pipe making, but not so much on pipe smoking.
@motie2, Hey motie actually separate, but you gave me a good idea, thank you. Question, haven’t heard you mention Barbados Plantation lately? Still dig it or no. Just wondering.
I admit it:. I have not smoked any BP in almost two months. Thanks to my Secret Santa and others, my tastes have changed. My one remaining can of BP has been cellared. At the present time, my daily smoke is C&D's Captain Bob's Blend (The strangest pipe tobacco ever; a bizarre AROMATIC English mixture redolent of grapes in the room note, but typically English/Latakia in the taste department), and my treat blend is a 50/50 mixture of Peterson's Luxury Blend and Out of the Office; Civic Duty. Go figure.
I'm also experimenting with Lane's Crown Achievement (English/Latakia blend) and a VaPer, Lane's 125th Anniversary Blend.
W A R N I N G - Should you be tempted to try Captain Bob's Blend, know that it will ghost a pipe..... severely. As it happens, I don't care, although I've confined my smoking it to my favorite EA Carey, an apple, an EA Carey poker, and a cob......
@motie2 and @buflosab, the last few posts have been exciting and encouraging. I am always energized from hearing that my fellow pipers are finding new and exciting blends. I encourage all of us to keep searching for the "perfect " blend for each of our personal tastes and be willing to accept that our taste changes.

I envy you. Here, when it’s not freezing, it’s pouring outside.
For me....very nice pipe....the IPA....not so much😖. Bring out the bourbon😉.
Two delicious aromatics. Together or separately?

And thank you for noticing......
