Currently working my way through a tin of G.L. Pease's Odyssey. Very nice English! Just got a mail call containing John Cotton's Smyrna, H&H Blackhouse, and Balkan Sasieni. I LOVE Blackhouse, but have never tried the other two.
A creation of McCl 25 anivers from 2004 some from morton across the pond 2004 mixed with a 3/8 in slice of a maduro heminway short story and a madoro 858..in a layered fasion..
Digging through stash of opened tins, I found about half a pouch of Carter Hall. I'll be smoking some of it after I finish working for the day in a few minutes. I have an old leather clad Whitehall pipe that I haven't smoked in a while that I will use.
Looking forward to taking the kids and dogs on a walk later today with a bowl of Crunchy Frog (aromatic burley/toasted cavendish). They love the smell.
Went to the New Orleans Pipe Club meeting last night. Only 9 of us showed up but we shared some good tobacco. I sampled C&D's The Beast, Kendal Rum Flake, Bijou, Seattle Evening and a blend one member picked up at a tobacconist in Tennessee named Black Jack Bourbon. For all the hype surrounding The Beast, it was smoother than I expected and I didn't find the nicotine getting strong until the end of the bowl.
Prince Albert. Picked up a pouch a week or so ago and smoked it. Found it a bit boring but then I noticed that it was all I've been smoking for six days. It doesn't seem like much but next thing you know you can't stop.
