Finished off some Vanilla Custard (which I suspect is Lane 1Q). I have a sample bag of Flying Dutchman from a B&M in Covington that I'm going to smoke today. I think it's a Scandinavian Tobacco bulk blend that they renamed.
Just finished a bowl of McClelland 2015 Virginia Perique Flake. Still trying to find my style of tobacco and I am liking this style, but want to try more.
A couple of weekends ago I stopped at a B&M about 30 miles from where I live and bought two sample backs of tobacco. One was Vanilla Custard and the women working the counter said it was something the owner blends himself. I suspected it was Lan 1Q just renamed.
Went back to the shop and the owner was there so I asked him. First, he corrected his sales woman and said it was actually Sutliff's Vanilla Custard. Then he checked the jar and discovered someone had put Lane 1Q in that jar. Let's just say he wasn't happy.
I did get 2 oz. of the actual Vanilla Custard to try though.
Tuesday was a three bowl day. Started with some Flying Dutchman in a cob, Lane 1Q in a Savinelli Dry System and ended with some Sunset Rum in a Savinelli churchwarden. I have four zip bags of bulk tobacco I'm trying to smoke before I open any thing new.
