It's been a very long work weekend and I'm struggling this morning. So to help get me through I'm having back to back bowls. I started with TCS Rivendell and now I'm on a bowl of TCS Cowboy Coffee. Later on (if the inhabitants of the city will allow us) we plan on grilling out for our dispatchers since they have to be here on Mothers Day. During this I will have some Sutliff TCS Hunting Creek and Mrs Hudson.
A blend of Scottys' Butternut Burley and Lane BCA recommended by our friend motie2. Very nice combination indeed. Just prior to that straight up Butternut Burley to check it out "au natural", and it is a very pleasant smoke which I enjoyed very much. Looking forward to smoking this more.
"The Country Squire: Indian Outlaw" in a Savinelli Ghibli 645KS. Not impressed! (with the tobacco/LOVE the pipe) After yesterdays frontal on "Mixture 79" had to try a little something with some anisette. This one just missed the mark.
Taking a relaxing moment on my balcony at Branson before heading to Silver Dollar City. Fired up some BCA using my Mr. Brog again while finishing my second cup of java...
@KA9FFJ - our family LOVES Silver Dollar City. I grew up going there almost every year. We’d usually stay in Castville so we could trout fish in Roaring River each morning, and then head to SDC after lunch to spend the rest of the afternoon and evening. Sometimes we’d head to Branson for a show or dinner but more often than not we’d avoid it due to all the traffic.
My wife & girls also love the place and have fond memories of dipping candles, eating open skillet succotash and listening to bluegrass music. It always feels like you’re stepping back in time. For those who’ve never been it’s a real treat! Also, you have to check tour Marvel Cave if you go. It’s included in the entrance fee and it’s Amazing!
@jfreedy. Since we watch our grandkids Tu, We, Th, and live in the St. Louis area, we do quick 3/5 day get-a-ways. Right now we're down here for the Bluegrass-BBQ Festival at SDC...
You guys talked a day or two ago about some "The Country Squire" blends so it got me plundering through my cellar the last couple of mornings. I'm re-visiting "Choctaw" this morning in a pipe that my brother made for me. I like to smoke it while I'm writing. I call it "The Songwriter". The best way I can describe it is it's a cross between an Anse and a 320. Try to picture that if you can.
had some RPL-6 so far today. what a great blend, an all day everyday blend. Also finishing off Sutliff Irish Creme thankfully, tried this blend twice and sorry to say do not see it in my future. Have some Scottys Anglers blend coming, anxious to try this, Trout blend, Salmon River, and Bass Pond are really good so this should be just as good.
@jfreedy. Silver Dollar City really was awesome. Just arrived home earlier today and finished the yard work. Relaxing with some Dulce de Leche in a MM Cob... Welcome @CaptMike1
