Just got home from SWAT training. Figured now was a good time for a smoke before heading back in to work the Christmas parade... Original Captain Black in my Bjarne Viking
@TaylorJDutton They do. We did no shave November last year and everybody liked having it so we took it to the Chief and he got it passed by city council.
@Michael308 & @TaylorJDutton - believe it or not the Army is also considering allowing beards. One Command Sergeant Major in Washington is on record saying he believes beards will be allowed within the next few years. That would make a lot of current soldiers very happy... including this one.
Excellent choice. Sutliff Chocolate Mousse is a very tasty blend. Try a "Frankenblend" of The Chocolate Mousse with Sutliff Vanilla Custard (50/50) for a real treat. Then try either of them mixed 50/50 with Carter Hall.
That is what I love about this sport, experiment and enjoy. Also these three "Frankenblends" although tasty in any briar pipe are excellent in my opinion, they can be even better in a Corn Cob pipe. Something about the sweet notes in a cob.
@Michael308 nice. I’m still a recruit so we weren’t allowed to participate, but ours did no shave November as well. Was just curious if it was year round for you, but the no shave November thing is pretty widely accepted as I’ve seen so far
Ok boys this is what I did with the Captain Black Cherry, I mixed it with Lane Vanilla Black Cavendish, didn't mix a half and half type mixture, put a tad more VBC and it turned out to be pretty good. I was running low on VBC and didn't want to use all of it. So the bottom line is I would have used more as far as VBC. This combination made CBC tolerable.

Good choice in tobacco. That is one of my favorites, and actually I love all the Sutliff blends that have "Spice" in their name.
