Yep @pwkarch Bought a lot of old pipes at an estate sale, and it made the average cost per pipe $2.50... Sometimes you just fall into you-know-what and come out smelling like a rose...
Well you certainly came out a winner in that deal. I have only purchased maybe 6 or so 'estate" pipes, but not due to lack of looking. There are a couple of decent antique/ junk kind of venues in the area, and I will visit them every couple of months or so. For some reason pipes just don't show up that often here in south Jersey, and when they do this time of year they have "tourist" prices assigned.
@pwkarch You may know this, but there is a website estatesales.net that you simply plug in your zip and a few parameters, and sometimes you may get lucky...
My son came up from Montgomery to watch "The Open" with me earlier, and brought me a tin of Peterson's Sweet Killarney. Aint he a good boy?..lol, he also brought me a can of Captain Black Original.
Sutliff Christmas Spice is a great smoke, one of my favorites (I have too many favorites). It is up there in my book. I will; have to check my notes although I do not remember blending it with anything else as my impression with it (and several others) was why mess with success. I think it is similar to Sutliff Spicy Vanilla and several others that I have cellared, you know just in case.

@qmechanics how do you like the A.B.? You had made a post about Perique blends awhile back if I’m remembering correctly.
Speaking of frog morton ... though you might enjoy this. Hehe
