Breaking in my newest AB Pipe (@Corey562) acquisition with some CB Copper while enjoying a couple cups of hot java. Pics cannot begin to describe the generous chunk of briar and beautiful artistic craftsmanship that went into this pipe...
After running a pipe cleaner through the stem and wiping the bowl out with 1/2 a paper towel, I let it rest while having breakfast. Then reloaded with 1/2 Sutliff Sunset Rum and 1/2 Black Cavendish. A rare 2 bowl day ( possibly 3 before the day is over)...
I can ALWAYS use something from the hardware store, or better yet (well maybe not better) Home Depot. I actually thought about just going for a ride......
Did a little blend stacking. Started with Sutliff Vanilla Custard on the bottom, Sutliff Chocolate Mousse in the middle, and topped it off with Russ Monthly blend Warm Up. Smoked it all in my Big ben Calabash. A delightful smoke.
3rd bowl today! That's almost unheard at my house. Doing some VG Cherry Cavendish in a Knute Danish freehand. My wife bought me this pipe in 1970 just before we were married...
@pwkarch The hypo was used in my Sherlock Holmes inspired Calabash photo shoot. I noticed it at an antique shop and expressed interest in it. The next thing I knew my son bought it for me.
Enjoying the light rain on my front porch rocker while doing some Molto Dolce in a no-name refurbished bent. The pipe is stamped on the shank, "NATURAL IMPORTED BRIAR UNVARNISHED". Anyone familiar with that stamp?
