@KA9FFJ much appreciated! my work travels next month will mean I'm gone every week. Going out to a few different states. Might try and bring one or two blends with me.
@Oddjob27 Never hurts to take along a couple of pipes and blends. As soon as you don't, opportunity after opportunity will present itself and you'll wish you had...
Just another mild Ga. Morning just right for some rare syrian in my Ivarsson as I watch the other employees drag through the gate. Gonna be another 95 degree day in the plant....
@ocpunk714, definitely this mellow English blend is excellent in the bent egg that @Corey562 made for me. I hate to admit it, but his pipe is quickly becoming my favorite for everything except aromatics, which I don't smoke much of anyway. My other pipes are home made churchwardens, and they are nice, but I can't clench them like I do the bent egg (trying not to clench too much).
@mfresa That’s cool. I’m experimenting with different blends for certain pipes. Just for fun usually. I like more Virginia, Perique, burley in a cob. Unless it’s the Great Dane or Missouri Pride. I like packing fat English bowls. Bent Pots are very nice.
Currently smoking a bowl of C&D’s Three Friars in my Marcus cob. While I prefer longer pipes, the Marcus is a nice, smaller cob.
@jfreedy You made a fine purchase. The Charles Towne is a fine cob, and the stem alone is worth the asking price.
@Bloodhound61 Definitely pick up the Charles Towne cob if you have the chance. It’s available on Smokingpipes.com right now. Not sure how long it’ll be available, as it tends to sell out fast.
A sigh of relief as I light a bowl of The Country Squire Second Breakfast, as I received a clean bill of health yesterday from the dentist. I was told during my last visit six months ago that I had a small cavity. Yesterday they told me my teeth look great. In thinking back to the prior visit, I only remember hearing about a cavity from the hygienist. Never having had any issues including a cavity in my life, this was good news.
On to Dunhill's Royal Yacht. This is a Virginia based tobacco, but has an oats, nutty and burley tin note even though there apparently is none in the blend. While it doesn't come off as a flavor bomb, its full strength and subtle tobacco flavor are enjoyable.

First bowl of the day here is my mutt blend, tentatively named Run Don’t Walk, in a little Mastercraft
I LOVE that Guiness Extra Stout., and I love the Dark Autumn Ales (Octoberfest) that come out after summer. You just can't drink too many of those.
