The birds-eye grain on that one pipe is stunning. It almost looks like a paisley shirt pattern that I once wore back in the 60s'.

I have one that has a tight birds eye it has a beautiful color as well one of the first ones made. I will post a pic of it tomorrow.

@Corey562, the grain on that pipe is like, 3-D, man!!  It looks like it stands out against the bowl!

@Corey562, well it looks like it is on the way...  even before the wax the grain is looking really good.

@mfresa I had to stop on that one had another one I have been working on the last coat was finally ready for the final sanding so I got on it still like some stem work but check out the contrast on it.
